Alright okay if I remember correctly that Stone Tablet was left behind by the SO6P right so that his descendants could read it. What really puzzles me why would he do that if only "sage eyes" could read it in it entirety. Did he not favor his younger son? I mean favor him as his successor.. so again why the hell would he make a stone only his older son could read?

I keep reading it was the S06P but I could very well be wrong. I did use the wikia for a quick reference I didn't want to filter through the manga again.

Personally, the "use the search bar" posts are more annoying than repetitive posts.

Most people don't feel the need to search the billion threads here even if you can type the thread title for similar results. And new opinions/members come each day.

OT: It could be that he originally wanted to have the older son be his successor when he made the tablet. He DID choose his decision on his deathbed, so it wasn't likely he just made the tablet then.

I thought the tablet said different things with each level of doujutsu used to read it.. Maybe it had some generic words of wisdom for life from the sage, but when read with sharingan it told of how to obtain ms, when read with ms it told of controlling kyuubi and the rinnegan, etc

If that was true then the s06p had a brother and he took his eyes. How else would the so6p know how to get the EMS?

I don't think the shrine tells you how to unlock further levels of dojutsu unless it was created by an Uchiha or Tobi.

Not only that, if you do post to a preexisting thread, someone's gonna bust your balls for reviving an n-year old thread. It's a no-win situation.
