Re: Americans: please explain me this:
well keep in mind with our two party system (democrat party and the republican party) some people voted for him just because he was republican. And Bush's father was also a former president so that helped him a little bit. and ur wondering about the re-election? well with the 9/11 attack Bush managed to rally the US against the terrorists and that unity managed to give him a second round but believe me by the end of it a lot of people were kinda sick of him

Re: Americans: please explain me this:
I understand you said you do not mean to bash but it always seems like someone is always quick to criticize every move the U.S. makes if you are indeed curious as to he came to power simply google George W. Bush and look at his wiki to get a detailed report on his political history and the parties that supported him. This last part it not intended for you specifically but most people on narutobase who are not from america are quick to generalize the citizens as whole and always have something smart to say about our politic and the supposed arrogance we all somehow share and would like for people who are bound to post on this thread to leave your conceptions and contempt at home as not everyone in the U.S. is a patriotic puppet that is usually displayed in the media around the world. Our country is made up of a multitude of races and beliefs and various strains of political divisions and some definitely get more spotlight then others but that is too be expected in any part of the world.Too put it simply not everyone it United States backs it leaders and we do have a free thinking mind of our own.

Quite possibly the worst answer I have ever seen about past presidents, Bush damn near destroyed this country economic wise, yet everybody seems fit to put the blame on Obama for it. I am sorry but not one man can clean an 8 year mess in less than 4. Everytime he tried to fix the mess, he got denied by the repulican party in the house of senate. Bush sent our country to war when we didn't have the funds to send that kind of battalion anywhere.
This country for eight years thought that Bush was the best end we could get but were oblivious to the real fact that we were following quite possibly the dumbest man to have ever run this country.

Re: Americans: please explain me this:
Do you really want the answer to this? He actually lost the 1st election to Al Gore, but there was ballot tampering which was apparent but unprovable, officially resulting in a tie, & Al Gore conceded. The 2nd election, 911 had happened & the public was motivated by fear & were manipulated into believing that we needed to invade Iraq to protect our homeland. Our political system is very corrupt, now you know.

Better than the other guys running at the time, by a long shot. We don't get to choose who's best qualified, unfortunately. We choose out of whoever is running that is the lesser of two evils.

Exactly, he might seem like a bad choice to some, but a lot better than the alternatives at the time. Also, he really wasn't so terrible. Sure he did and said some stupid stuff and even sounded stupid, but he was also a cowboy and took action when it was needed.
