Manga Coloring of the Month {May 2009}

Here is the problem i cant chose colors when i click colors like red,blue it selects black,white and gray look at the picture i chose color RED but somehow it selected GRAY

lol, your stuck in grayscale

what you wanna do is select image at the top
then choose the first option, which should be mode

you'll notice that grayscale is ticked, you want to change that to RGB, so just click on RGB, and away you go.

when u copy a picture that is B&W, photoshop automatically sets the canvas to grayscale.

I will give my best the only problem is that i cant shade good and how would a amater win if he has competicion like you and Chill-


ANd i have a question do you all use the color picker to copy the actual color like in the real picture

Go by eye be creative ...ive given this pic my own feel and atmosphere that i wanted it to have .....if u have trouble shading just look up a pic of any anime character and see where people put the shadow...under the nose sides of face around the eyes all those sorts of places...Be postitive do your best and keep having fun with it because if u have fun doing it the picture will definately be better

I dont know i searched for Jiraiya on Google pics so i could use the colors from the real image what do you think is this enough to win or you are expecting better
