Lets see, Kakashi is better at Ninjutsu and intelligence. Guy is better at Taijutsu, speed, strength and stamina. They seem equal to me.

He just doesnt have the "GATES" t' open. He also has "That Jutsu" which put Kasame on his ass, Hirudora.

Kakashi has a slight advantage in my opinion. Who knows i always consider them to be the same in combat. I believe that Kakashi can use the Gates as well.

I dont see how Guy is even close to Kakashi's level of skill Guy is better than him in taijutsu but Guy is only a close range fighter Kakashi is much more versitale i doubt someone who only uses taijutsu can fight on par with Kakashi.

They should be around equal. Remember that Kakashi was pretty much the primary reason why his squad defeated the swordsmen (by forming a plan to take out Zabuza). Guy was on that team and he had far less to offer the group than Kakashi had. The hidden mist is a strategic jutsu, so Kakashi's intelligence obviously made him the favorable choice in that scenario. Guy's Gates give him a power boost, so he's the better choice to pick in a boxing match or if you want more manpower.

people are forgetting kakashi is no slouch when it comes to taijutsu he can do tai pretty welli think he can even do primary lotus. he is also a master swords man
