This FILLER IS ALL WRONG

Okay, i'm not one to complain about filler, the majority of the time I love watching it and some of my favourite episodes have come from it but they are doing this war filler so wrong and it's really getting a bit too much.

Apparently Kabuto at some point had a comedy relief set of edo tenseis of characters that barely fit into the Naruto universe at all.





Seriously the rain boy and the old Dragons Eye man are examples of BAD filler. The war is the best time for filler because there's so much that Kishimoto didn't focus on and there's multiple fights going on at once. The Sound 4 episodes and the 7 Swordsmen expansions were fantastic episodes because they did what the war filler should do- Expand the war, not extend it.

We could've easily just had more episodes with the Sound 4, we could've seen Dan, Hiashi and Kakazu doing more fighting on the Beach battlefront, maybe an actual villain for Kitsuchi's battlefront (so Kiba, Hinata & Neji actually have something to fight rather than just Zetsu clones) and episodes where Chiyo and Kimimaro did some damage. We never saw Kakashi's 'rampage' even in the anime.



Why didn't they expand the Nagato Itachi fight? Why didn't Tobi stick around for longer when he dropped off the Gedo Mazu? all of this would easily fill the gap than the current trend of just introducing another edo that all the characters supposedly know- it takes us out of it.

If I see one more shot of Naruto running saying "everybody, hold on" that i'm going to commit because the guy has literally been running for 6 months now since he got off turtle island. The show needs to live up to that amazing opening and actually put it's manga where it's mouth is and give us Madara so the action can finally begin. And then hopefully never stop. Surely the anime team must've seen this coming months back, their foresight is awful and as a result we have to suffer til the plot deems us worthy enough to pick up again.

So what do you think they could've done to expand on the war? Anybody else you thought couldve been longer or shown?

I was actually a big fan of the Sound Four revival episodes and the flashback with the old Samurai & the Sasori castle attack- that was much better quality than a lot of the actual manga war.

Yeah the reasoning is fair enough, it's so they dont have to interrupt the big fights coming up in the future.

Personally? It works because at least they're trying to keep things in the war with someone we know but it was just lame really, I mean...Kabuto revived Hayate so he would someone to talk to..? SERIOUSLY.

This would take us out of the war which would be sucky, especially as there's just so much we can do with the battlefields.

But seriously, you didn't enjoy the Kabuto fight in Chikara? Seeing Sasori storm a castle with his puppets? Seeing them actually defeat the 7 Swordsmen?
