OT: I like Brotherhood more than FMA because they let the main story slip... This makes it to my Top 5 too, of course. All characters are really strong and well thought out...
Nina... that was just BAD! Any one who laughs at you for crying while watching anime should be shown these parts of FMA...
I always had mixed feelings about Kimblee, aha. Yeah, it's one of the most amazing anime i've ever seen. Yeah, that was sad It kinda freaked me out though, especially if you watched the dub version of it, the voice was freaky lol.

Hell yeah Cowboy Bebop should be in there! :D
I don't have a specific order, since they're all epic, and I can't choose between them, but;
1. Cowboy Bebop
2. FMA: Brotherhood
3. Samurai Champloo
4. Death Note
And I don't have a number five yet lol.

Re: SPOILER: Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
what he got in return was what everyone who tried human transmutation got
THE ABILITY TO TRANSMUTE WITHOUT DRAWING SYMBOLS AND ALL THAT TRASH.
the only reason mustang didnt seem to get an upgrade, is because he had his transmutaion circles drawn on his glove. so he never really had to draw a circle to use his fire

Well if you didn't watch it that far I won't spoil anything. Though I recommend watching it to the end, it's amazing Watanabe has really out done himself with Samurai Champloo and Cowboy Bebop.

Yeah, thats what I thought at first, but then read off the wiki. And it's not trash, it'd be awesome to just have to clap your hands together and then perform alchemy

Is it better then FMA:Brotherhood? Im seeing mixed feelings between the two, but most people like Brotherhood since it's only the manga and no fillers. Though i'd still like to see the original story, even if it's just fillers

I don't think Roy got anything in return, I think it was just for the homunculus to make the huge transmutation thingy

Yes, by far one of the best anime EVER!!!
And I realise that there is a chance of this already being answered, but I would like to answer it because I dont get many chances to display my knowledge of the anime
Whenever someone has performed Human transmutation, there has been one common factor. The ability to use alchemy without the need of a Transmutation circle. That is what whoever performs the taboo gains in return for what ever was taken.
Izumi lost some of her internal organs when she tried to bring her child back.
Edward lost his left leg when he and Al tried to bring their mother back to life.
Alphonse lost his entire body when he and Ed tried to bring their mother back to life.
Roy lost his eye sight when he was forced to perform it by pride.
The only exceptions to this are Father and Von Hoenheim. Mainly because Father himself is the embodiment of the Philosopher Stone, whereas Von Hoenheim was turned into a Philosopher Stone due to the Xerxes incident.
I just hope that my memory serves me justice with this answer

He was given the chance to go through the "Truth" or whatever it's called, and gained the ability to perform alchemy without transmutation circles. How could you miss that? o_o

cowboy bebop is one of those shows where its more understood and apperciated by adults.
Samuria champloo put me on to anime alltogether and is hands down the best alltogether show.
Soundtrack/plot/drawings/ its like the only one that seemed it is real
Fma was up there too, i had the humanculis sysmbol tattooed on my right side of my neck on my 19th birtdayh
you do understand that technically Brotherhood is the ORIGINAL FMA? considering it's completely following manga
and to bolded, nothing personal, but you're stupid

Never seen the original FMA, I'm going to though
For me it's;
1. Samurai Champloo
2. FMA: Brotherhood
3. Cowboy Bebop

I read it again and found out, Idk why I thought differently back then I also think he was able to make the same alchemy as Ed and Al.
