I would assume Its his real name, this Manga chapter was good for alot of reasons but mostly because we finally found out the masked mans real name. No its not Obito, although he could have taken Obito's other Sharingan.

Is Uchiha Kaenjin the eldest son the the Sage of the Six Paths? I think so

THEORY: tobi uses names from deceased ninjas according to the jutsu they had. i.e he called himself madara, now he claims he's able to use the eternal tsukiyomi. who knows, maybe madara had some kind of moon's eye jutsu and uchiha kaenjin had that firewall :shrug:

reviewing this page does seem confusing..
If only he mentioned uchiha kaenjin, without uttering the words "Do not underestimate me" ..then it would have been only just the name of his jutsu. But why, of all circumstances did the name of that jutsu have his last name? ..and why, of all time, did he have to say "do not underestimate me" first.

it could be mistaken as.. "Do not under estimate me! Im Uchiha Kaenjin!"

There was a debate about this a little further back in the thread. I'm fairly certain that "Uchiha Kaenjin" is the name of the jutsu. The way he said it, coupled with the fact that the fire barrier appeared right after, lends to the credibility of it being a jutsu. Besides, I highly doubt that Tobi would have said his own name with his mask still on.

And, on a side note, what is with all of the "Tobi is Obito" posts? I don't think Kishi would troll us like that (then again I could be wrong). I've been seeing a lot of people mention the Minato vs. Tobi encounter while making an argument for or against Tobi being Obito. I would just like to point out three things. Firstly, Obito was only 13 when he was crushed by boulders. Not only was his right side crushed under the initial avalanche of falling rock, but the rest of his body was buried during a second cave-in. Kakashi and Rin saw this take place.

Secondly, Tobi's age is all wrong if he were to be Obito. Going on the fact that Kakashi and Obito were about the same age when Obito died, and by calculating how old Kakashi was when we were first introduced to him in Part 1, we can assume that Tobi's attack on Konoha with the Nine-tails happened a short time after Obito died (probably not long after the Third Ninja World War ended). Kakashi and Obito were both 13 when Obito was killed and Kakashi was 26 in Part 1 of the manga, meaning he would have still been 13 (possibly nearing 14) at the time of the attack on Konoha. Obito would not have been able to grow up that much in such a short period of time. If you look at pictures you can clearly see that 1) Obito is shorter than Minato and 2) Tobi and Minato are around the same height. So both the age and height difference are something to consider.

Thirdly, Obito loved Konoha. Why would he suddenly want to destroy it? It would be a complete 180 degree turn around of his personality.

Sorry for the long post. I just felt like I needed to point all that out. It's probably already been mentioned though. Still can't blame me for trying. lol I simply can't see how Tobi could be Obito with the amount of evidence.
