Yachiru's appearance is that of a very small, young girl with pink hair, dark pink eyes and a perpetual blush on her cheeks. She wears the normal Konoha Shinobi uniform and her plate of her headband on her arm. She carries her sword in her left hand.

Personality

Yachiru is child-like in most aspects - she is small, cheerful, energetic and carefree most of the time. She is often seen latched onto the back of her Sensei, Kenpachi Zaraki, just over his left shoulder and is somewhat territorial about this position. She can be intimidating at times, especially when annoyed. Yachiru resents being criticized in any way and will often attack the perpetrator. Yachiru's favorite free-time activity is eating sweets, though she will eat pretty much anything. Yachiru specializes in infiltration, which she uses mostly for mischievous deeds. During Kenpachi's regular afternoon naps, she goes to play around the Village.

History:
Yachiru lived in a very poor part of the Hidden Leaf Village, she was always around death and the only colour she ever knew was blood red. Both her parents died when she was six they were killed by a ninja from the Hidden Leaf, who became a rogue ninja but was later caught and killed by Hiiden Leaf shinobi not to avenge her but to cut a loose end. Yachiru was however not aware of this until later on in her life. She spent most of her days walking around the village in her tattered clothes looking in shop windows at all of the food and later thinking of an infiltration plan to steal the food. That is how she has lived so long with no care.

One of her plans went wrong and the shopkeepers and assistants dragged her to an alleyway. They were about to beat her up but a very big bulky man appeared on the scene to save her his name was Kenpachi Zaraki. He beat the men up and then took Yachiru to his home, he cleaned her up, gave her new clothes and then adopted her as his own. Kenpachi is a ninja who is feared among all, he has never lost a battle and Yachiru has absolute faith in him that he never will. She is always perched on Kenpachi's left shoulder, she uses him as a mode of transportation and has adopted the nickname Ken-Chan! for him.

Kenpachi wanted her to go to the Ninja Academy so that she could defend herself better. She agreed but she only wanted to go because she wanted to be just as strong as him. She entered the Academy at the age of eight and graduated at the age of nine and became a Genin. Surely enough Kenpachi made a special request with the Third Hokage to be her sensei and he complied but on one condition that their relationship wouldn't get in the way of the mission, Kenpachi agreed to it. She was in a three man cell with two other boys named Ikkaku Madarame and Yumichika Ayasegawa and she later nicknamed Ikkaku 'Baldy' and Yumichika 'Yun-Yun'. They all went on missions together and they were all successful, Kenpachi never left her side and Yachiru never left his side. She witnessed all of his battles making mental notes of all of his abilities and how to improve on them so that she can become as good as him one day.

Yachiru's Sword

Yachiru's sword is a normal katana with a pink hilt-wrapping, a tsuba is shaped like a five-petal flower, and a purple scabbard.Yachiru carries it around with a loose cord, rather than at the sash of her uniform. Her sword's scabbard is also unusual in that it has a pair of wheels for transport, which were installed by her team member Ikkaku Madarame, who turns out to be handy with tools, after she continually pestered him to do it.
