My only complaint is why is Naruto only using the Rasengan. We have seen he can easily make variations of RS in bijuu mode. Why not smash him with one of those and make sure he doesnt get back up. Eh oh well still a good chapter. Wish we would have at least got to see Tobi's face :ice:

Well those could just be Tobi posing as Madara. As to how Tobi knew all of those details I'm not exactly sure, probably from Zetsu IF Zetsu was created by Madara. As I've said those are just my thoughts (concerning Tobi's way of interacting with Kakashi) IF Tobi IS Obito and should really not serve as a 'theory' or a complete explanation. My premise and condition is TOBI=OBITO and then I went on to give my thoughts..cheers!

Explanation.
You may say that Tobi was shown to have two Sharingan when his mask was broken by Konan. You will note that when his mask was broken, the right side of his face has many "wrinkle" like marks. These are obviously from him being crushed from the rock. Tobi also survived Konan's assult using Isanagi. He sacraficed his right eye over his left. This may be very vague but he would not sacrifice his Mangekyo eye (the left) when he has a large amount of eyes waiting for him at his hideout, along with his ability to obtain the Rinnegan.
His left side however, is not shown in full, allowing for it to be untouched in theory because it was not crushed and likewise not having the "wrinkle marks" Since Madara died from his battle with Hashirama (He was resurrected from Impure Resurrection) and Obito ( Who has been under the guise of Madara) was present at the Uchiha clan massacre. Because of this, he could have easily implanted another Sharingan in his own eye socket. You may also note that Tobi when he brought Sasuke to his lab had 100's of Sharingan in containers on the shelves, so obtaining another Sharingan would not be hard.
(It should also be noted that "Madara's appearance during the Uchiha Massacre wore a mask that only had one eye hole)
Obito was also known to be known as a "good boy" and carefree, much like Tobi's persona, however with age he can obviously mature.
Zetsu obviously saved Obito as he can travel underground and is a cannibal, he went to Obito to feed but would not consume him due to him being alive. He then, helped free him.
It is under speculation but Obito had a great inner pain when Kakashi and Rin were forced to leave him, from this he could have awakened his Mangekyo by experiencing this deep feeling of sorrow, much like how Sasuke felt the pain of knowing his brother's true motives and awakened his not because he killed the closest person to him, but because of what he learned of his brother.
This would also explain Kakashi's Mangekyo as he had no way of obtaining it as he is not of Uchiha blood. But, if Obito awakened his, it would awaken in both eyes. Kakashi's Mangekyo also uses Kumai which is a space time ninjutsu which allows him to send things to another dimension, much like Tobi's Sharingan ability. This would also explain how Tobi knew that Kumai would not work on him when he encountered Kakashi after Sasuke's battle with Danzo because it is in fact his Mangekyo jutsu.
Obito also looked up to Kakashi's father who refused to leave his comrades behind. Obito might harbor some hatred because his clan was massacred because of the Leaf Village along with the fact that he may have felt abandoned by his teammates when they left him for death. Making them "worse then scum" in his eyes.
This is my reasoning behind Obito being Tobi. Reply please.

It is also unknown if Tobi has a Mangekyo, making it even more likely that he has a Rinnegan. However, if he is Obito he could have awakened at least the Mangekyo from his loss of Kakashi.
Tobi cannot be Madara by the simple fact of Tobi having to steal the Rinnegan. If he was Madara #2, he would have already had one awakened. And it is also possible that he doesn't understand the Sharingan's full evolution. As, he only implanted one Rinnegan. Since the Rinnegan can change between the Sharingan then why would Tobi not implant both unless he was unaware of this fact. Even Kabuto only noted that he knew this after years of research and that it was a theory until confirmed. Leading me to believe that Tobi is unaware of this completely. If he was Madara, he would have taken both Rinnegan and just switch between that and his Sharingan.
And as to Teek, Obito could have harbored hatred when his comrades didn't come back for him after their mission was done at least for a burial. With someone of the Fourth Hokage's might, moving some rocks from a cave in shouldn't be too hard, as well as Kakashi's knowledge of Earth Release. So because of this he may have harbored some hatred against Konoha. This is just a theory though.

Boring chapter for me (could not care less about Tobi's identity). Although i still want to see Madara and Orochimaru, my overall interest for this manga vanished with the defeat of Kabuto.

For all those about to state Tobi is Obito... Tobi is not Obito.

It is impossible for Tobi to be Obito. Firstly, it does not fit the timeline!


The proof lays within the episodes and chapters themself.
if you look back to the chapter/Episode in which Minato fights Tobi, kakashi, Asuma Kurenai and Gai appear to be teenagers, Itachi appears to be incredibly young but Tobi appears to be significantly older than they are and that fight is about 3 maybe 4 years after the 3rd ninja war making Kakashi 16/17, so Obito would have been around the same age.
When Tobis mask falls off, when he speaks to Sasuke, we see exactly how old he looks although we don't get a glimpse of his entire face to confirm his actual identify.
Finally, when Tobi fights Konan, he states he was the one who gave the Rinnegan to Nagato anyway and he was simply collecting what was originally his. Now correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm sure Jiraya trained Nagato, Yukio and Konan, way before obito was even born as he met them after his fight with Hanzo in the Second ninja war. Minato Kakashi and Rin and Obito all fought in the 3rd ninja war, so theres no plausable way for Tobi to be Obito without some form of body control jutsu.

The obito threads are going to blow up even more this week. Maybe its just me but tobi just implied that he really is obito when he scolded kakashi about not being able to use the eye to its full capability because it is only "borrowed". Implying that tobi himself is not borrowing it but infact the original user

Rest assured, tobi is not obito. remember when he got nagato's eye and said it was his to begin with? he's not nagato, is he? there's a reason for him claiming what he stole to be his, but he's not who he stole it from.

This chapter was amazing if you ask me! First of all, we didn't even know if we were even getting a chapter this week at all due to last weeks mix up. You can imagine my excitement when i went on NB and saw it released! So yeah, kakashi is feeling emotionally mixed because he is now realizing that tobi might be obito or the fact that someone violated obito's body and took his eye. Second, we now see tobi's Mangekyo Sharingan. Third, we see the bond between Naruto and Kurama is pretty strong at this point, and Kyuubi Mode is bad-A*s!And last but certainly not least, Tobi gets SLAMMED IN THE FACE WITH A RASENGAN, which will later reveal his identity and face! :D
