I'm not saying this is the best book ever written. But I can't understand why there's so much hate about 4 little books...

They're just brain candy, easy reads. I like them because of that. The movie make the relationship seem alot more awkward. It was really annoying. But oh well. I couldn't find the next tailer.

Oh oh oh, and another thing, the fans scare me. I enjoy the books. Thats about it. I'll watch the movie but it's not the best. I've avoided the fan girls pretty well and I will continue to do so.

It think one of the reasons with the book is not liked is because at a critical stand point, it's messed up. Edward is abusive, everyone is obsessive, etc etc. My friends do not like Twilight for this reason.

Overall, it's pretty enjoyable. :D

Oh and another thing (sorry). Authors always reflect they're lives into they're writing. The author of this particular is Mormon, there for reflecting her religious believes. One of the things the they believe is that men must go forth and reproduce. Now look at the first book. Nice big rich family right? Good guys. Now along comes a little group, three people; a small family. Bad guys. Think about it.

I second what she said.

Stephenie Meyer had a brilliant idea yes, the story line is acceptable, but perhaps if it were in the hands of a more capable author, it would have been astounding and more brilliant. Still, it's her creation, I think she did her best with it and I found it quite enjoyable. Appreciate the romance people.

One thing I hate though is when people judge the books based on the movie. Also don't EVER judge a book if you've never read it. -_- I was quite hesitant to pick up the Twilight books because of the sudden fanatical and obsessive behaviour but I REALLY wanted to see what all the fuss was about. Plus I wanted to be able to judge it for myself and it didn't seem the complete disaster or disgusting material it was rumoured to be by the haters. My friends got a lot of kicks out of them as well, so I was tired of being kept out of the loop. xD

I think it's not only a completely overrated story, the concept itself also isn't very appealing. It misses out on originality and a solid concept. It's very disturbing to see how much teenage girls can love factional abusive vampires, even to some point where they start posting ridiculous things such as a public declaration of love for the characters.

Yup over-rated. Actually I didn't mind them and I enjoyed the movie which everyone hated because I really didn't have any expectations of it. Though after watching True Blood recently, I remembered that's how vampires are suppose to be. Still anticipating New Moon but not so much anymore.

Absolutely.I have read all books and i was laughing when I finished Breaking Dawn.

The books are purely written, the story is unoriginal and it promotes a very very abusive type of romantic relationship.
Edward even has Bella kidnapped at Eclipse in order to keep her from seeing her friend Jacob. And no, protecting her is not a good enough reason.

There's just too much media coverage about it and a bunch of fangirls in love with the actors making it more look popular then it really is.

I had never even Heard of Twilight until i heard news of the movie. I didn't see it, and even with New moon coming I don't intend to. However the only mate of mine that likes the twilight saga is forcing me to go see it with him because no one else wants to see it with him...
I don't wanna let him down, but I'm just not interested in it at all, there's nothing that has gotten me change my mind either...
