Pein fought the entire village of Konoha, and then fought Naruto in Sage-Mode... and lost...

THUS... no one can possibly fight the Kyuubi itself, other than a Sharringan User!

HOWEVER... trouble is...
1. Sasuke can only hope to defeat Naruto in Sage-Mode, by playing with his emmotions... because Naruto won't kill him.
2. No one in Konoha knows Madara's abilities, or that Tobi really is Madara. Thus Naruto fighting Tobi/Madara 1vs1 from the begining, would be fatal for Naruto... If Naruto let the kyuubi come out... Madara would be able to control him and the kyuubi...

only person from the leaf village that could kill the kyuubi was 4th hokage but with madara next to kyuubi's side, it couldn't happen. but as of now, nobody can take on the kyuubi.....except madara cuz he controls it.
