Orochimaru and Hidan

We all know that Orochimaru's true goal was to grant himself immortality

And we all know that Hidan was immortal if he continued to kill people via his ritual.

Why didn't Orochimaru take over Hidan's body? I think it would be much easier than taking over Itachis or Sasukes body and this would grant him the immortality which he was aiming for

He could have taken over Hidan and then Plugged in the Sharingan Eyes.


Because Rinnegan is not a bloodline and therefore cannot be passed to the user + he didnt even see peins real body. And there was much more mistery about the Rinnegan, as it seems.

arent doujutsu's bloodline limits, so rinnegans a bloodline limit. and nice job insertin not into his post. and if wanted to learn every ninjutsu in the world than the rinnegan would have been perfect for that lol.

Usually bloodline limit is passed from one generation to another, whereas Rinnegan appears randomly and is not passed like this. Maybe I was not exactly right about it being not a bloodline limit, since it is a tool which can be used only by 1 ninja but it is unknown whether you can just take the eyes for yourself as Sharingan or not.

But that wasnt my strongest point though :0 as you know, rinnegan can disturb chakra and that makes the trasnformation impossible.

& Orochimaru didnt know the real power of rinnegan. Not did he know Nagatos true body. Takng over a dead body controlled by Nagato would be a very stupid act.

Hidan's immortality came from a contract with some demon named Jashin, not any special properties his body had, like Bloodline Limit.

So, if Oro took over Hidan's body, he would not be immortal. He would need to make a contract with Jashin.

well i don't think that it will that easy to takeover Hiden's when he has Kakuzu with him.
plus, orichimaru will have to fight both of them. Adding to that, Kakuzu has 5 haerts, so it is like fighting Kakuzu 5 times and that is not easy.

i think i remember a oro-jiraiya-discussion where oro stated that for him the strongest ninja is the one who knows the most ninjutsu. sasuke and itachi were in more than one ability strong (fast, strong gen-and ninjutsu, talented) and sharingan fastens your ability to learn moves because you can copy them. second it could have helped him for his researchs to see chakra.

Good point. If Oro would rather not face Itachi with MS, why would he go after rinnegan? Oro was not stupid. He might have tried his hands at Nagato later on if he had gotten Sharingan...

I dont think Hidan was even in Akatsuki when Oro was there.
Hidan is supposed to be the last member to join (asside from Hawk).
so if Hidan was only a member for a few years then he and Oro never even met
