How will jiraiya deal with edo tensei?

sage mode genjutsu... edo tensei is still venerable to genjutsu. it wont kill the edo-tensei, but it will stop it temporarily.

it was shown when jiraiya met naruto that j-man knows some sealing techs. so he could seal them after making edo's immobile.

We all know for a fact that Itachi is the best genjutsu user, kurenai and her both has 5s in the databook, (for genjutsu obvs) does that mean Itachi = Kurenai in terms of genjutsu ? no.

Anywho, when Oro gets his stats updated he'll smash Jiraiya's stats for jokes.

Stats do matter in this situation. this is not a vs thread.the op flat out said orochimaru was always the strongest of the sannin. i have shown the official stats for both. since the last databook was released neither character has had powerups so these stats stand. we are comparing who is strongest not who will win in a fight or who is more likely to win a fight there is a difference. how they have fought against other opponents means nothing in how strong there are overall, fights are all about matchups. Im not comparing one particular stat like you did with itachi and kurenai im showing all stats and kishi clearly says j-man as an overall is .5 stronger then oro making him the strongest sannin. and as an overall if we were to compare stats itachi is stronger then kurenai which we know is true.

were you referring to just how each would fight against edo or that oro was edo'd?

oro was actually brought back to life, not edo-tensei. if its a direct face to face battle against oro, then jman's genjutsu would still work i believe.

its not a vs situation...... im not comparing in a fight im showing you who kishi says is stronger based on the stats because that's what truly matters in this scenario if you wanted a who would win in a fight oro vs j-man you should have made a thread saying just that......

1 itachi could beat most of konoha by himself (doesnt necessarily have to be 1vs1 either). he was able to kill his ENTIRE clan - the powerful uchihas (with help of tobi).

*that is to say, the avg uchiha being stronger than the avg konoha citizen (non-uchiha).

lol well all i was trying to say was who is stronger and who would win in a fight are two different things.

With who is stronger solid facts like databook/stats come into play.other fights and matchups hold no ground here just solid facts

who would win in a fight is where matchups and opinions come into play.

Ultimately who is stronger is fact(because of DB/stats by the author) and who would win is more of an opinion based off what we have seen displayed from the characters themselves.

The last time Jiraiya and Orochimaru fought, Jiraiya had ben drug by Tsunade. Jiraiya was not at 100 per-scent in power and ability, nor Orochimaru either who had lost the use of His arms. The fight was a draw because of this,so neither has fought each other at full strength and abilities. So we do not know or will know sines Jiraiya is gone,who is the strongest of the two. In either case their both weak next to Naruto.

You do have to consider that Naruto was Jiraiya's student and he cared for Naruto's safety and didn't want to attack Naruto. Orochimaru doesn't care about Naruto so he used so many techs to defend himself. Maybe Jiraiya got hurt because he was trying to CALM NARUTO DOWN without any techs.

I mostly agree. Orochimaru is the strongest Sannin, he was (obviously) stronger than old Hiruzen but not if he was 10 years younger. Kabuto did surpass Orochimaru, however. Orochimaru is extremely powerful, but not top 5, unfortunately. Either way, I still agree with most, so *****.

databook is a guide and was never meant to be added up like that since adding seals to taijutsu doesnt make sense. they have nothing to do with each other. one can have a lower overall score yet have a high score in the areas that count (speed, intelligence)
