No, Kakashi sent a clone of Naruto to the other dimension where Tobi was at. Tobi was unable to do anything because he was currently intangible in the dimension where Kakashi and Gai were and using any ninjutsu would force him to become tangible. If he were to become tangible, he would of got hit by that big ass TBB.
