Ok I posted a previous theory but here is another one for you guys. Tobi made Kabuto show him exactly how to activate the reanimation Jutsu...is it possible that Tobi is still a mystery and just brought back Obito with an even more perfected reanimation jutsu than Kabutos...one that doesn't give that affect with the eyes and skin of the reanimated that we know now?

well, at this stage, behind that mask there could have been every f...g "killed" Uchiha from that night....

that would explain many character and mood changes (Tobi childish with stupid voice, Tobi sage, Tobi badass, Tobi long hair, Tobi Danzo-hair etc..) and aswell the fact that Tobi fought Minato (aka who was really fighting Minato and who was it really who showed Kisame his face ? etc...).

This could be explained by looking at someone behind the scenes who uses various "Tobis" (dead Uchihas) like Nagato did with the Six Paths of Pain (crazy I know, but ye... why not lol ?). Combine that with Zetzu's powers aaaand CHAPEAU !!! xD

All we have seen was a mask, an eye and some mood changes accompanied with different haircuts and many forbidden uchiha jutsus as well as a HUGE knowledge about Uchiha power and their past. This all would fit if you combine the many knowledges of different dead Uchihas of THAT night.

I actually thought about this when i saw the split personalities in tobi. The joler, the sympathetic tobi (when he was acting like he cared about sasuke when revealing itachi's past) , the dark side. It could be a possible route kishi can take.

I always thought that Obito was Tobi, by the simply reason that Tobi is Obito in mirror... I hope nobody will say that it will be Obit and not Obito... Nobody going to say that shit, right? Good japanese boys! But everyone had a good reason for not believing Tobi is Obito! And in fact, there are information missing for we understand how can it be possible.

So... I never believed that this ****ing masked guy is Madara, and suspect since the beginning that the edo tensei that scares Tobi was the real Madara. But I still not thinking that this guy is really Obito, but someone using his body! That's a easy explanation.

Well, Kishimoto must have a VEEEERY GOOOD explanation for Obito being the real man behind the mask!

I hope that Orochimaru is behind all this. That would be so epic. I love that Orochimaru knows everything and foresees everything that is going to happen so far in advance. He is one of my favorite characters, it's awesome that he's back. It would be hilarious if Kishi decides that Orochimaru is behind all of this Tobi stuff.

Why would he get scared of someone he has never seen though if it is Madara?
Obito was in WW3 & Madara wasn't even in WW1/2? Everyone knows the guy pulled out was Madara & yet if it is Tobi he wouldn't even know what he looked like.

This is awesome stuff here. I can see you really did your work. However, with 90% of your reasoning can easily be explained by Madara meeting up with Obito at some point and training him and telling him all of these things. Coupled with the earlier things that "Tobi" did, that were too out of the question for Obito, were actually done by Madara it could make sense. As for the reasoning of why he picked Tobi, why Madara finally died, etc., I can't say. But it's also hard to believe ANYTHING Tobi claims to be or says. It's obvious that he's a pathological liar and anything that he says has to be taken with a grain of salt. I don't like Tobi being Obito as much as the next person, but I just can't wait for the explanation as to how all of this happened.

Posting for the first time. Well, I am not convinced by this masked guy being Obito after seeing all his abilities. Who the hell taught him so much under a stone and with one eye. As for Kakashi it would be a real shocker as a former team mate. Well whatever lets see what builds up.

I have tried to read the walls of text that this thread had and, well...

Ow, my head... it's pounding from the text... Need to rest my eyes..


Anyway, I want to put in something silly(although still possible, IMO) as a partial explanation for all of this...

Simply put, no one has noted that space time jutsu is what made Tobi's little "ghost phasing" jutsu and the Kamui technique(I am not going to argue about whether they are the exact same or different or something, that's not the point here) work. I also know that Minato also uses space time jutsu as well...

My wager is that a space time jutsu is what allowed Obito to survive the boulders(I am not indicating that Obito himself did it, unless well... I'll explain that in a moment), and move him to a place where things could be done to him.

The silly part of this, of course is that it wasn't in the same time as when Obito was crushed, but a different one, or even a place outside time. In other words, somebody used time hax, and time travel is actually involved to some degree. As to why it hasn't been abused to hell and back earlier... Well, in Kishi's defense, at least the plot hole in that would be nowhere as big as the "Tobi is Obito" bit by itself, and it truly shows that "Sharingan = Hax", something that I believe is implied, if not outright spelled out to everyone, during the course of this series.

I would love to know what people would think of this silly thought of mine, truthfully. And I do hope that Kishi does have a good explanation for all this. That is all.

Another Question is that Suigetsu in the background when Obito meets the other Ninjas ? On the right is one that looks like him, or is it Dan ?

Dan is a different generation... that's genma, yo can see him in the gai's team when fighting against kakashi, rin and obito... he was the jonin that was supervising the chunnin fights but got killed by Gaara after he discovered kabuto was ploting with the sand ninjas

Gotta say I expected better from Kishi.
