There are too many plot holes. It shows Kakashi becoming a chuunin as a teenager, yet he apparently became a chuunin at age 6 after graduating the academy as age 5. Also Minato's face is in the mountain while Obito is alive (although it's known he was a jounin at Obito's death). Those are two blatant mistakes that clearly make this chapter not canon.

Also, Obito is not Tobi.

Well it certainly says something if Kishi can't remember these small details. In my mind, if Kishi can forget these little things in his own manga then Obito being Tobi is perfectly possible and plot holes can just be ignored.

Minato's Head on the Mountain: Look where Obito's head is. He wanted to be Hokage. He looked up (literally and figuratively) to Minato.

Kakashi being Chunnin: Obito had to watch as Kakashi got the girl, the fame, and the power while he received nothing.

If that's true, then this decreases the quality of this manga a bunch. The author should keep a coherent timeline, at least keep important timeline details written somewhere.

It's always been obvious Oda is a better writer than Kishi, you shouldn't need this chapter to tell you that. Since the start of shippuden this manga has been far, far from perfect but is still enjoyable, even with its sometimes poor quality, this really hasn't affected how enjoyable it is because I acknowledged its flaws a long time ago, maybe others should have done the same.

you dont go and change facts of a story like that.... thats a big no no.. might as well change Naruto's last name from Uzamaki to Senju too when he fights Sasuke so Kishi can prove the point that Senjus and Uchihas are always destined to fight...

I would have been able to buy something like that, IF Kishi hadnt bullshitted the plot in the past, but he has. He has proven that he likes to change the story as he goes, and it has now shown that his changes have caused him to overlook facts to a crucial point of the story.

You cant decide whats canon or not, regardless of any inconsistencies it contains.

And Obito is Tobi, the faster you realize this, the easier it will be for you to accept it.
