This case can't be solved by simply saying Tobi is Obito, it's way more complicated than that and we can only speculate for now.

There's a theory I have. Refering to how can Obito have fought Minato as a grown man. If he was supposed to be 14 at the time.

Sometime after being crushed, he unlocked the Mangekyou Sharingan, unlocking his ability to use Kamui. As we know the MS can only be unlocked by the emotion of losing a best friend, which leads me to believe his selfless act of saving Kakashi played a role in the activation as he didn't want to lose him. This caused his MS to be activated and he be transported to his dimension. In this Dimension having no clear control of the technique he ended up spending years there gaining power and control of the technique. Of course his supposed years in side that Space/Time Dimension weren't actual years in the real world but that dimension (Kishi has a fondness for DBZ and this dimension in my opionon has some sort connection to the Hyperbolic Time Chamber which Gohan and Goku trained in. A day in the real world = one year in the chamber, thus Obito being stuck in this chamber grew stronger as he worked to master his new found power. He grew and had multiple "years" to dwell on the idea of war.

However this is the part where I'm trying to link when he began to gain Madara's ideals, however there has been been evidence in the Manga that states the two are already acquainted and working together.

Madara comments on Nagato - a person born way after Madara's time. How does a dead person know this information if someone hasn't told it to him? Very odd unless someone (Obito) had a direct line to him.

The thing I can't figure out is how the two ever became linked in the first place. How did Obito get involve with Madara at all? Why is Madara on Obito's side? How did Obito survive the crushing all together w/o being healed? (which I have another theory for but no real proof)

Either way after gaining those ideals, he went out and fought against Minato and yadayadayada... did all that stuff... which leads us to the present.

Really? So how bout when Naruto changed Nagato. Its not that far off from the storyline or Naruto's ability to be able to change Tobi. It would be pretty stupid to think that it shouldn't happen and be mad about it. The way Madara is at the moment he is way too strong for the current group that is fighting him. If he really wanted to he would of killed them already without breaking a sweat. Id say Kakashi, Naruto, tobi, bee and that guy that has the wooden jutsu would be a better team against him. Gai can stand on the sideline and cheer them on.

Personally, I prefer for Obito to stay on the same path as he is following now. The formula for Talk-no-Jutsu can't be the solution for everything and it would honestly ruin the image of the antagonist that he been well built up for so long. But you are right, there is definitely a possibility that Obito can be swayed by Naruto's words and join the fight against Madara Uchiha.

That being said, Obito could very well be the person that the Mountain Toad Sage was referring to when he spoke of his vision. It could be either of the three remaining Uchiha's left for all we know. Instead of Obito joining forces with Naruto to defeat Madara it could honestly be Sasuke too, seeing as to where he is going in the plot so far.

One thing about the kisame/madara thing how do we know kisane knew what the real madara looked like?.......... I mean couldn't anuone just pop up with long hair and sharingan and claim to be madara, then some years later come back and meet up with him and it be the same person?

Madara explicitly told Kabuto that he obtained the Rinnegan shortly before he died. This was before he brought the meteorites in.

I know you got the Obito-Kakashi-age thing from their graduation ages. To add perspective: Kakashi and Gai have very different graduation ages but are still roughly the same age.

This is probable, especially as Zetsu could be this underling Madara knows.
