The plugins that will be lost are: the Kumi system, the gifts, the awards, and some other plugins that we have on the profiles. Some of them will be restored after the upgrade as soon as possible, so don't worry, the awards will be added back later!

As soon as the migration is finished, we will open up the forums to the public with the default vBulletin theme. A new theme will be added later on but you have to give us some time for that since the template system has changed dramatically. Along the day we will migrate back the plugins and based on the comments there might be some other changes as well. So yes, the forums will get a fresh new look as well!

Of course we will do our best to migrate without any troubles but unexpected things might occur, so your patience is much appreciated.

When we migrate Kumi will not be present. If it will be added afterwards or not is not clear at the moment. As it stands its useless and some new use for it would need to be developed. The market (mimicking OPB) however, is not likely to be one of them.

Only the skin will change which will make us loose the headers, the icons, all those fancy things that compose the look NB has right now. but the info, threads, posts, etc will all be there. As well as the structure.

I understand we need to get off vB 3 but why not wait a little while for vB 5 Connect?
From the videos on youtube from the company itself, the admin cp looks real easy to use and editing the site looks pretty clean.

Usually when vBulletin puts out a new source, there are a lot of holes that can compromise your forum, just from what I've seen. It wouldnt be good to upgrade a forum such as this into something we wouldnt know is 100% stable without security holes amongst all the other things that come with utilizing a more up to date forum.

NO!!! dont, vbulliten 4 is easily hackable, I've done it to a few others before, (diddin't hurt anything, just tried it out) and Hacked it almost effortless. There are even videos on youtube showing you how. Please get back to me on this. Im really trying to help out.

nice go u told half NB that theres vids in youtube that they can hack it

I searched the videos u said on YT and apparently it has been patched and it is not hackable anymore.
Someone should test it for themselves tho

Some say it works some others dont.
There is a comment on a video (wont share) 11 months ago claiming he did hack it..

There is no details on when vB 5 will be released. And when vB 5 gets released we won't upgrade to it instantly either before trying it out. And I expect it to still take quite a while til we would be able to run it anyway.
