[Discussion] Madara was itachi's mentor?

Itachi told sasuke during their battle(silly battle) that madara was his mentor.

Any one have any ideas which this actually took place?

We know some ages;

itachi is 21 (data book)
obito is 28-29 (he is kahashi's age, also databook)


Nagato is 40 (Nagato is much older than they are, I put him 15 years younger than jiraiya as we know Jiraiya was about kahashi's age now when he meet nagato, i do have thread that goes into great detail to show he is about 40 in part 2)


Madara is 90(obitio told us he fough hasihrama 90 years ago)+40(age when fough hasihrama, assumption) ~ 130 years old when he died i assume.

The age gap between obitio and itachi is tight,

hard to imagine when itachi was under madara's wing. Unless itachi is mistaked.

I mean madara couldnt move out fo that cave thingy and obitio is that much older than itachi himself.

Oddly enough nagato looks like the best man for the job, he has madara's eyes and knows alot shit whenit comes to the rinnegan. just putting out a idea boys and girls.

I doubt he was that old. I give him about 90 years max. Even one of the kages mentioned it once (assuming tsuchikage) he said 80 years ago when he fought him.

Guys, this chapter makes it pretty clear that it doesn't matter much how old Madara is in number of years, he was not living by his own life force, but by the wires connecting him to the Mazou statue. So we now have a solid reason for Madara living as long as he needs to to accomplish his goals. He himself described himself as "a ghost of the Uchiha clan"

Madara was definitely over 100 years old. I'd have to say he was at least 120. Think about it, how many years had passed since the First's death? It's been almost 100 years. If we think of how old madara was when he fought Hashirama (around 30-40) and the amount of years that had passed, there's no way he's less than 100. Either way, as others have said, he was living throught the mazou so it shouldn't really be a problem

zetsu clones cant be the answer to everything

Wep,seeing todays/past chapter we know that madara was indeed the creater of Zetsu.Seeing that zetsu can copy a person looks and chakra,he could be the answer.

tobi is to sasuke it was 90 years that madara fought hasihrama, so unless madara was a baby when he fought hasihrama then he cant be 90 years old.

He cant be over 100 years old since he fought Onoki once in his life time. Also it was Obito that was his mentor, he had all the knowledge from Madara so even the great Itachi was tricked by Obito lol.
