Maybe his body couldn't stand anymore so he died since Gedo Mazo didn't give him vitality ... good question though

I was wondering did the summoning of the Gedo Mazo here, have any effect on Madara himself, as it seems from the latest chapters, (imo), Madara had a mazo there with him.

just had me thinking

I don't think the summoning of the Gedo Mazo affected Madara :shrug:

i get it, you think that madara used the same technique therefore making sense of how madara was attatched to the statue

We don't know, and we couldn't say for certain with what we know right now. Certainly it had SOME affect, but maybe not something so drastic.
