I think Kishi is doing a great job with this Obito twist, it's all starting to piece together, and I'm excited to see what happens next.

Also, it's a free manga, not much of anything free going around anymore, take it while it lasts.

It's not that bad. Sure there are some matrix overtones here, but who cares. At least we got in detail just how Madara and Obito are going to execute the Moon's Eye plan. Plus we finally got to see why Obito was claiming to be Madara and where the Black Zetsu came from. All in all a most informative chapter in my opinion.

What? I don't care who the manga is about as long as it's interesting. The only thing I like in this chapter was the creation of Black Zetsu. I hate the fact that there is no real reason why Kakashi was spared. Obito didn't care? Sure, the person dearest to him gets killed and he takes it on the Mist shinobi instead to her killer. Or at least seek a response from Kakashi. Those Leaf ninja could have been a perfectly fine reason why Kakashi didn't die at that point, but I guess it's better having a stupid excuse instead of a reasonable one.

P.S. I like The Matrix as well, just thought the similarity was too obvious.

I agree, but where did the inspiration for the Matrix come from? Heavily influenced by Buddhism. In my opinion, The Matrix missed the point for fear of alienating it's audience, and they were probably right since their objective is to drive revenue vs teach about enlightenment. Anyway, glad to see an Asian ripping it right back. Hope Kishimoto is brave enough to risk it.

Wait how do you know that he doesn't pay for the manga just because he reads the chapters when they come out doesn't mean he doesn't but the Tankobon when they are released because I know I do!! I also read the new chapters when they come out so that kinda makes you point invalid.

OT: THe chapter maybe had some little nods to the matrix but I personally enjoyed it especially for the fact that:

A) WE got to see where the BLack Zetsu came from
B) That the Gedo Mazou is actually the shell(body) of the Juubi(also not a wood statue)

The only thing that really irritated me was we didn't really learn why Kakashi killed Rin and Obito just decided to let him live on a whim apparently WTH
