New Anime: 1 Piece OR Fairytale

So I am thinking of picking up a new anime and I want to know whether people like One piece or Fairy tale better (and why). Previous/ ongoing anime I like -

• Naruto/ Naruto shippuden
• Full metal alchemist: Brotherhood
• Sword Art Online

I don't have any idea what Fairy tale is about but I have heard it is pretty good. OP on the other hand I have watched up until Tony Tony Chopper joins the straw hats and I have to say I wasn't impressed. I know it supposedly gets better but no anime/ manga should take that long to become interesting. I haven't watched OP in ages so I could be persuaded to try it again.

Also do either have fillers? Let us know what you think of both.

Fairy Tail has less episodes to catch up on, One Piece has a very strong story line which is absolutely brilliant.

I just recently began to watch OP and let me tell you that the first 50/so episodes are a bit whack. Although it gradually begins to get better. You'll enjoy it. It has an original plot and great character developement, or so I've heard
(I chose to watch it after watching amazing AMV's of it)

personally I didnt like fairy tail but I only got through a couple episodes. But op I stuck with and it wound up being a great manga. The anime kinda seems to have alot of fillers if you ask me. But it turns out to be a really great action story with very good character development.....But the character design is a little weird lol.

well One Piece is better lol the difference for me would be Luffy is way cooler than Natsu and it has a better storyline and has epic characters

Could the problem be that I watched the english dub of OP? Now that I think back on Naruto I can't even stand the english-dub. So if I tried OP again with an english sub and skipped the fillers, do you think it would be a tad better.

Btw One Piece was great from the start, it never took a while for it to get better. Just your opinion.

There are fillers for both anime's, but One Piece fillers are worth the watch. You won't even tell the difference between canon and fillers if you didn't read the manga.

Pretty much this, you'll have to watch the first episodes but it gets better. I personally disliked fairy tail because there's too much fanservice (hey, but that's just me, you have your own opinion on this).

Watch 1 piece.best anime of all times for me.i was a naruto is the greatest fan too before but after i watched one piece i just saw that it was better in many ways.
WHY U SHUD WATCH 1 PIECE
1.best story line i have seen in any manga/anime.
3.funny,serious and epic momments.
4.more characters and abilities then any other anime.
5.shows rivalry between characters in the best ways.
6.more people watch 1 piece then naruto world wide.

By the way the 1st 50 episodes su*k.

Fairy tail isn't bad either.it's a great manga/anime too.very funny too.i watch both fairy tail and one piece.

in general OP is better.

FT has short arcs and has a fast pace. you really enjoy watching each episode. has about 150 episodes and 300 chapters. easy to catch up.

OP has very long arcs. and pace is really slow. a manga chapter is about as long as an anime episode. in the anime they drag things out too much. so you might get bored while watching. however there are some episodes that you'll watch over and over again. and once you catch up to manga it's the best. pace of the manga is just as it should be and each chapter is amazing. OP has about 560 episode and 680 chapters. it's enough to keep you busy for about 2-4 months.

IMO watch Bleach. Absolutely amazing Anime. It has stopped airing though, but i think its coming back. It is so far up to 509th Manga chapter and 366th Anime episode, so by the time you catch up, it should be back.

One Piece will be an amazing experience in the long run though I would suggest some short series before you get into that. It will take you months to catch up with the latest episode if you're not watching them nonstop 24/7
