i see many smart people out here i just need some opinion about something
i am 23 years old currently failed in academics (engineering). don't want to
do it any further instead i have interest in journalism but this age factor is
creeping me out like feeling i am too old to start over again n see my friends
doing extreemly well . kinda have lost all self esteem .
current situation
no friends
no girl friend
no life.
can anybody show me or tell me what to do

You saw your friends do extremely well but then you said you have no friends.

From what I understand here, you went for engineering because your "friends" did so too. Now that you couldn't measure up, the same "friends" have left you behind and gone higher. You now want to go into journalism but I must ask you these:
Are you really interested in journalism or do you just want to comfort yourself?

You made a mistake already, are you not sure you are just quickly jumping into another?

My advice is this:
Make comparisons btw engineering and journalism.
On what basis did you do engineering?
On what basis do you want to go into journalism?
What abilities do you have?
Fixing stuff? Calculating, numbers? Communicating with people? Creating stuff?
These should influence your career and not your career influence them.

Also, always remember to go to God in prayer for guidance. Tell him to help you know him better and to guide you as you make the right choice as it will affect your life greatly.

Let me share a story with you; my biology professor at university was over forty before he got his phd. (All earned in the later years of his life.) He didn't go to college out of high school cause of the Vietnam War, and couldn't when he was back because he got into trouble with the IRS. In that time, he was a soldier, worked on an oil rig, was a farmer, and ran an insurance business. Even when life spit in his eye, he kept pursuing what he wanted, and he ended up exactly where he wanted to be. The moral is, work hard, dream hard, live hard. Only you have the ability to give your life the meaning you want it to have.
