Guys guys guys calm down. I'm sure this can all be explained easily. Obviously Rin told Kakashi that he could feel her up and Kakashi got over excited. Accidentally using Chidori is like premature ejaculation to Kakashi.

kakashi was crying so he had to kill her or it was a mistake. The fourth told him not to use the chidori anymore he was to fast and it was imperfect. Should have listen kakashi should have listened

Pandering. That's what this chapter is, pure and simple. This is one of the worst chapters I've seen in months. What was it, 16 chapters of Obito doing nothing and just running around, and then one provocative image that's going to be the cliff-hanger for the next week? It's the most blatant piece of audience manipulation and suspense-manufacturing that I've seen in this manga, maybe since Itachi "magically" appeared in the fight against Danzo (right before the manga went on a two-week break, no less).

So we're left with the image of Kakashi, a good guy who recently learned the hard lesson of protecting one's friends, killing an innocent and unarmed Rin with a stab through the heart.

AND we know that Obito was there. He witnessed the whole thing. But history tells us that he didn't reveal himself to Kakashi, or ask what the motivation was or anything like that. This leads to a handful of bad options:

1) This scene was real (probably influenced by genjutsu or mind-control), in which case Obito is a hypocritical loser and Kakashi is some kind of monster or maniac. Obito must have seen the death of Rin and simply turned around and gone home without so much as questioning why this happened or what Kakashi was thinking.
2) The scene was staged (by zetsu clones or the transformation jutsu), but Obito just gave up, turned around and went back to the cave without seeing the truth and without asking Kakashi why he did what he appeared to do.
3) This scene is fake, and Kishi showed it to us at the end of a very boring chapter just to manipulate our emotions and make us eager to see the chapter next week where, hopefully, something real happens.

If that's the real Rin and Real Kakashi, there must have been some kind of genjutsu or weird misdirection going on that confused Kakashi into doing it. If that's a fake Rin it could be a transformed Zetsu or a transformed mist Ninja. In that case, where the heck is the real Rin (and how did she really die?)? And if that is the real Rin, and she's actually about to die, why doesn't Obito rush down there and try to use the same exact Hashirama/Zetsu goup to save her life as was used to save his?

I mean, here's the big problem: We KNOW that Obito is on the battlefield, and we KNOW that Obito has attached to his body a substance that allows a person who should be dead to still be alive. So, if Rin is really going to die why doesn't Obito try to save her life? And, in the process, why doesn't he expose himself to Kakashi as still being alive and well?

This chapter is making me extremely angry. I sincerely hope that the next chapter is better, because they can't get much worse.

Ok, wild thought.
They were attacked by Hidden Mist. They got desperate. Rin told Kakashi to kill her in order to upgrade his sharingan and give him a chance to escape.
It would explain all these things Kakashi has been saying about comrades on the first few episodes of Naruto.

that was probably kakashi under a genjutsu, or maybe they did the same thing that Hanzo did to Nagato, Konan and Yahiko... i would say, 1 of them had to kill each other in order to 1 of them stay alive, so Rin told Kakashi to kill her.... Or i would say the white Zetsu thats attached to Obitos body messed up his mind.... when Pain attacked Konoha he killed Kakashi, at his last momment he was saying he was sorry cuz he couldnt save his sensei, Rin and Obito, and that now he was going to meet them in the afterlife, if Kakashi killed Rin cuz she was a traitor, he wouldnt say that....

I think hat in obito's vision it was zetsu pertending to be attacking rin, then kakashi comes from behind tries to chidori zetsu but he goes into the ground and he accidentely hits rin that's why he's crying

Nah. Kakashi probably thought Rin was an enemy due to the mist - he couldn't see properly. Oh wells. It kinda sucks as to why Obito is what he is now. I wish Rin didn't die so Obito wouldn't have to be evil =(

That would be possible, but the main problem would be that the White Zetsu wouldn't be able to copy Obito's other Sharingan. Since Obito had linked vision through Kakashi before he saw Rin, its definitely Kakashi.

People! this was no genjutsu nor was rin a spy, it was,i think that nasty hidden mist jutsu,the same one kakashi feared when he went on his first mission with team seven.the sharingan is unable to see through that jutsu which is why obito saw darkness then faint images of someone killing rin that same image that faded from dark to light, somehow i think obito is able to see through that eye kakashi has proberbly all that emotion that was flowing at the time.

I don't know the reasoning behind Kakashi killing Rin but it was definitely not an "accident"
everyone saying "oh maybe he couldn't see in the mist and accidentally hit her"
that is a retarded theory. maybe kakashi and rin were carrying important information and they were about to be captured and kakashi killed rin so that couldn't happen. or maybe kakashi was under a genjutsu and everything was set up by madara.
Madara said "you will come back, and you will thank me sincerely". So he definitely knew something about this (maybe he even set it up somehow?)

Plot wise im hoping Rin is a traitor...Idk whats up with everyone's overnight attachment to Rin, she's literally ONLY here for plot development. In my theory, im assuming she revealed some sort of top secret info. Something drastic like, Kushina's giving birth and the weakening of the seal. If an outside village gained info on that, they would storm the village that very night in hopes to obtain the kyubi......oh yea....Obito was there that night....and Kisame confirmed that Obito was known as the mizukage.......m....

I doubt kishi drew it by mistake.. so why do you think it's that way..??

maybe it really is a zetsu clone, and zetsu copied him back then, that's why his mask was cut like this

the alternative is that kishi drew it, to show is that kakashi only has one mask, and wears it for years..

I doubt the thoery that is was only a Zetsu clone. If that is true, then Rin should be alive and Obito would know about this, and we could see Rin dillydallying on Konoha.

I have a hunch that Rin was betraying the leaf in some way, and there was no other choice but to kill her. Madara probably know about Rin's deeds for some time because he has information gathered through the Mazo which is connected to different places, but Madara refused to tell Obito the truth, and Madara knows that the fight was actually between Kakashi against Rin and the mist ninjas, which is the reason why Madara was confident in saying that Obito will come back to him, because Madara knew that Kakashi will kill Rin for some sort of betrayal.

Or it could also be an accident that he Raikiri'd Rin.

Well, just a hunch.

it could have been fake and rin could have died from soemthign else madara goal was to make obito see this and hate kakashi mon runs death and join him, so he faked rins death and she died some other way. this can't be real the image is from the tobi zetsu and teh zetsu clones feeding it to obitos mind

Notice how when Obito thought he was seeing Rin? You saw that water explosion right? Well when Rins picture started to clear up could it have been actually the water clearing up from Kakashis vision? Maybe he couldn't see properly and miss aimed his Chidori and ended up hitting Rin. Obitos and Kakashis Sahringan are diffidently connected.
