either itachis lost his mind or this is a gaping plot hole of epic proportions even for someone liek itachi who has the most convoluted plans ever.

HOW THE **** DO YOU KNOW? for sasuke to even want to rip itachis eyes out of his corpse hed first have to be pretty darn evil which you hoped never to happen but the genjutsu would activate regardless of whether sasuke was still good with itachis eyes or not. naruto couldnt control it on his own. so if you expected sasuke to become evil no matter what, then why the beating around the bush to naruto? it seems liek his leaving sauske to naruto was seriously last-minute given plan A failed and was put on himself instead. if so then why ask narutos intentions if sasuke became a threat? if he fought sasuke and sasuke took itachis eyes like itachi planned then that was a complete waste of time as there wasnt anything naruto COULD have done besides try and free sasuke from this binding enslaving brainwashing of his best friend. how arrogant and evil do you have to be to talk to your brother's friend like you arent planning on turning him into a zombie without free will?

secondly HOW IN FUK HELL IS SASUKE MEANT TO SURVIVE THIS? if he has gone blind in such a short time and obito hadnt gotten to him, then hed have no reason to get those eyes as he wouldnt be evil. this of course assuming obito has died to itachis fail safe plan. that still leaves pain and danzo. so without the EMS and only an inexperienced useless MS sasuke doesnt have a chance vs pain. especially considering itachi never expected sasuke to be powerful enough to awaken susano at all. and itachi should know pain would eventually head to konoha to get the kyuubi. unless hes the worst spy in history. yet he had no failsafe for nagato. he was just going to hope that SOMEHOW one of the kages would take down the rinnegan. essentially he left everyone to destruction war and death since nagato wouldnt be restrained by obito any longer. obitos the only reason pain didnt go rip shit riot on konoha a long time ago and kill danzo/get kurama. that may have been his next move after destroying hanzo. but im getting ahead of myself. assuming sasuke turns into a genius medical ninja of obitos level overfreakingnight, and gets EMS, he will probably die of blood loss or the fact he wouldnt be able to see in them properly till its waay too late and pains already annhilated naruto and bee. then it wont matter.

two gaping plot holes in conclusion
1. itachi knew sasuke would rip eyes out of his corpse without obitos manipulations and become evil, which would condemn him to a catatonic slavery for the bastards who killed his family via KA brainwashing upon fighting naruto
or itachi thought sauske would remain a hell of a guy since he acted all surprised when sasuke decided to say "fuk this imma kill everyone" and was planning on enslaving him REGARDLESS. in hindsight not really a plot hole but begs the question why itachi acted all "you mean my plan to torture him and turn him into a murderous vengeful sociopath WORKED? HOLY CRAP" and tried to ask what naruto might do about this if it happened. which it wasnt in itachis master plan. all itachi was doing was maneovering naruto to confront sasuke so the KA would activate, not give a shit what happens to naruto. not surprising as he unknowingly already ordered that kids attempted murder

2. sasukes not a medic so why and how would itachi expect him to perform such a procedure on his own and survive, since, you know, in itachis perfect world where everything went well, obito was turned to a pile of ash and no one else he knows would help an s-class criminal become even stronger.

Itachi only manipulated sasuke so that he could become strong enough to protect himself since he wasn't there to do it himself. He didn't think that would cause sasuke to turn on the leaf, he only wanted sasuke to hate him. He left him to naruto because naruto has the power to change peoples hearts as we've seen time and time again, and he hopes that he will change sasuke. how did eh think eh was? he fought him first hand and sauske showed no medical techniques or insight. as soon as he saw sasuke was insane and needed to be stopped he should have done so, and then gotten KA back out of narutos skull. but itachi doesnt do what needs to be done when sasukes concerned. but was perfectly fine with shoving a sword in mikotos heart. what a ****in hypocrite.
