No, actually its NOT in the manga.

The manga only says that the Senju are blood relative to the Senju, and that the Younger son was the 1st Senju. Who's to say that the SAGE HIMSELF wasnt an Uzumaki?!?

I'm a fan of this idea, that the sage himself was an Uzumaki. Would make a hell of a lot of sense as to where Naruto got all his power from(excluding what he gets from Kurama) since he is already strong without his bijuu.
