its not like its glued to his head. He lost it vs pain a well, if i remember right.
Anyway it might be true that its some genjutsu or zetsu copy, because they remembered the image of kakashi without headband.

+ reps. Could be important. Its too early to tell but there is mounting evidence that either kakashi was a clone or he didnt willingly do that. I never bought the anbu mission theory, cuz kakashi would have been close to danzo if he did missions like that.

You are forgetting after Minato rescued Kakashi and Rin... they returned to the leaf village. Kakashi
should have been given a new headband since returning home. So how come in chapter 604 on the last page he doesn't have
a headband?
