Hwy guys I love anime and have seen a lot but i'm also looking for more to get into. If you could list your top 5 anime and if its not in my list leave a sentence or so of why you like the anime, mine are:

1. Code Geass
2. Death Note

Naruto doesn't deserve to be there considering it's VERY sucking fillers, note that my MANGA list would look a lot different

1-Cowboy Bebop
(quite simply put, as good as it gets)

2-Haibane Renmei
(This one really surprised me, the overall quality, originality, story was unbeleivable)

3-Last Exile
(Really good anime pretty much for the same reasons as Haibane Renmei, but ended just a little abruptly)

4-Graveyard of the Fireflies
(a real gem, excellent quality, story, and pretty original but it really couldn't draw the viewer in to the same extent as it could have because of time restrictions (something like Haibane Renmei views a little more like a 5-6 hour movie than a series) but still a classic)

5-Naruto
(a great anime so far that has excellent originality, a solid story, and quality, while avoiding many of the pitfalls of a large series)



I can not left out DBZ I do not know where to put it in the top 5

I've never seen Elfen Lied but I would recommend Death Note. It's a pretty good anime and it's short (only 37 episodes) So even if it was a waste of time it wouldn't be too long. The series is like watching shikamaru vs. shikaku fight, great strategies the whole time

My first two are Soul Eater (manga) and Avatar TLA. The rest are Death Note, Yugioh GX, and Naruto. I like other animes too, but those are the five.. No order really, besides the first two tying for first and second. Soul Eater's anime was ended early, but the ongoing manga is my all time favorite. Has to be o n the list!
