Looks: Danzo is an older man but despite his age he has deep black spiky hair and looks relatively young. He bears an x-shaped scar on his chin which he has been shown having ever since his teenage/young adult years, though the exact origins of it have yet to be revealed. In his adult years he wears bandaging over his right eye as well as right arm. This bandaging conceals both the sharingan of Shisui Uchiha which Orochimaru implanted in Danzo's right eye, as well as ten other sharingan along his arm which he received from various Uchiha killed by Itachi during the Uchiha Massacre. For clothing he wears a heavy black hooded trench coat with a tan interior and four square tan buttons on the front. This appeared to be the uniform donned by his Root ninja as his two escorts, Orochimaru and an unnamed Aburame, also wore the outfit.

Personality: During his younger days Danzo was shown to have a prideful personality though he lacked the bravery to do what he thought a true shinobi should do. While on a mission with the second Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi and several other team members they were put in a situation where one would need to stay behind and most likely be killed. Danzo wanted to volunteer as he felt that it would be an honorable way to die. But his body locked up. Fear kept him from volunteering himself and as he struggled to muster up the courage, his rival Hiruzen Sarutobi stole his thunder. Hiruzen bravely volunteered with no hint of fear. As an older man Danzo became much more cool and collected. He was a master of deception and was even capable of making Kabuto unrecognizable by his adopted mother Nonou by sending her a series of progressively changing photos all in an attempt to have them eliminate each other. Despite the dark nature of his actions he held the safety of Konoha as one of his primary goals. He believed in doing whatever was necessary for the overall safety and peace of Konoha, even if this meant the sacrifice of many people.

Description: Izanagi is a Genjutsu that is intended to be cast upon oneself and not the enemy. It is the most powerful Genjutsu. When activated the user removes the boundaries between reality and illusion within their personal space. In a certain degree this allows the user to control their own state of existence. And is normally activated with the briefest of moments. When activated it is capable of turning an injury or even death into an illusion allowing the user to escape harm, but not without a grave cost. The use of this technique results in the loss of a Sharingan eye. Whenever the user receives a fatal injury, he or she automatically fades away as a genjutsu, and then returns back to reality, physically real and unscathed. Izanagi can only be used by those with the generic’s of the sage of six paths, weidling the DNA of the Senju clan and the Uchiha Clans Sharingan. In Danzo’s case he had multiple sharingan to activate this technique multiple times at the loss of an eye but had a time limit in activating it again. Madara also used the technique but at the loss of one eye.

Background Info.

History: In his youth, Danzō was good friends with Hiruzen Sarutobi, and despite his best efforts, Danzō always felt inferior to Hiruzen and always wanted to surpass him. During the First Shinobi World War, Danzō, along with his team-mates: Kagami Uchiha and Torifu Akimichi, as well as Hiruzen and his team-mates: Koharu Utatane and Homura Mitokado, formed a squad led by the Second Hokage. At some point, the team was pursued by Kumogakure's Kinkaku Squad, realizing that one of them would need to sacrifice themselves as a decoy to ensure the others' safety. Hoping to die for his companions, just as his father and grandfather had, Danzō tried to volunteer but was paralyzed with fear at the prospect of dying and with Hiruzen volunteered before he could compose himself. Angry that Hiruzen had once again beaten him, Danzō began to protest before the Second Hokage decides to be the decoy instead while appointing Hiruzen as his successor.

With Hiruzen having beaten him to the title of Hokage, Danzō began planning to someday attain the title himself. To that end, he created the ANBU subsidiary named Root. Although the group was later officially disbanded, it remained secretly active. During the Third Shinobi World War, Danzō agreed to help Hanzō of Amegakure in order to receive help in claiming the title of Hokage, sending some of his forces to deal with Akatsuki but they were all wiped out by Nagato. He would later betray Hanzō at some point in history.

At some point in time he also had Orochimaru, who accompanied him with another Root shinobi to a Konoha Orphanage where he strong-arms a former agent, Nonō, to infiltrate Iwagakure and find out confirm the intelligence on what the village was planning. Soon after, Danzō noticed Kabuto Yakushi spying from the window and decided to recruit the boy as well. However, in time, both Kabuto and Nonō become assets too dangerous to be left alive and Danzō tricks a brainwashed Nonō into trying to kill Kabuto, whom she fails to recognize. However, though he sent Orochimaru to oversee no survivors, Danzō was unaware that his subordinate did not execute it and instead took Kabuto under his wing. During this period Orochimaru also played a role in implanting Hashirama Senju's DNA into his right arm, modifying his physical energy. Some years later Orochimaru also impanted numerous sharingan in Danzo's arm following the Uchiha Massacre. It was Hashirama's DNA which allowed Danzo to control such a large number of sharingan, as well as the one which replaced his right eye.

Other

Sharingan: Even though he was not a member of the Uchiha clan Danzo was shown to be more than proficient with that sharingan. On his way to the Kage summit he was being tracked by numerous assassins. Danzo was able to spot these assassins and take them out easily. Danzo was also able to use a special doujutsu of Shisui's eye which allowed him to control the mind of someone else without their knowledge. While this technique was normally only usable once every few years, Danzo was able to speed up the recharging process through Hashirama's DNA allowing him to use it once a day. Wood Release: Danzo was able to implant cells from Hashirama Senju into his right arm with the help of Orochimaru. Theses cells allowed him to use wood release techniques. The extent of his wood jutsu was not seen though as it took a lot of chakra to use so he chose to only use it as a last resort. When his chakra levels dropped too low he lost the ability to control the cells and had to remove his right arm which then turned into a tree. Currently in training. Enhanced Physical Ability: Danzo's speed and strength were enhanced by Orochimaru through experimentation. This was done at the same time that he received Hashirama's cells. With this strength he was able to send Karin flying with a simple kick.

Fuuinjutsu: Danzo showed himself to be extremely talented with the use of sealing jutsu. All members of Root were fitted with a seal on their tongue that paralyzed them if they spoke anything about Danzo or Root. He was able to place a high level binding seal on Sasuke in a split second through mere physical contact. He placed a reverse four symbols seal on his own body that in the event of his death creates a sphere around himself that seals everything within it in his own body. Currently in training.
