Yes but at least they are going to actually delve into the fights somewhat and its about time there is a war going on after all although it will be a filler it would at least be focusing on some characters to give them more depth or a better understanding of their abilities which is a welcome
change over fillers like allied mom forces which has nothing to do with the manga or no tie in to the war arc whatsoever that is a true filler
something to pass the time.This scorch episode might give us some new info and just because it is not in the manga it should not be
ignored not all fillers are in the same category if you understand what i am trying to say

Fillers get a bad rep for being non cannon and horrible and for the most part they are but its simply because they do not choose to utilize
filler arcs to attain new info or any depth to other characters.If i was in charge of episode development i would actually expand on other characters and give them progress and show battles raging on at different locations on the battlefield to show the intensity of the war.
And its not like it would be hard they have plenty of characters and the war expands whole regions they are just being lazy and i will always
cite that as the biggest flaw in the anime.There is no excuse for episodes like allied mom forces or the dreadful adventures at sea arc
