Orochimaru wouldn't be enough to beat Madara, his summonings literally pale in comparison to Perfect Susann'o, His Meteor would be too much for Oro to attempt to even regenerate from, his Katon techniques are the perfect combat for his snake related abilities as they have a natural weakness to heat meaning fire and lightning based techniques are perfectly suited against Orochimaru.

That reason may not be to fight though. Not entirely anyway. Orochimaru's greatest asset was that he always had something up his sleeve. At this point of just being revived, seeing Sasuke's power, knowing who is out there in this war, he may be rather hesitant to fight those he knows are strong enough to wipe out half the world.
