Hiruzen/Hashirama Which one is stonger?

Okay Hiruzen is strong and has been stated the strongest but I still can't see how he can be stronger
than Hashirama. Its true Hiruzen has been stated the strongest but Itachi also said that he and Kisame wouldn't be
able to defeat jiraiya and many fans didn't believe that. To me Hashirama seems stronger just because he rivals madara and has defeated madara before. So who do you think is really more powerful and dont be biased.

BTW don't state that Hiruzen defeated both the 1st and the 2nd easily cuz they weren't even hyped much back then by kishi
and we didn't know much about their abilities.

Hiruzen. In the databook, I think it says he was the strongest. Also the manga said he was the strongest if you follow Iruka's words. Do you really believe Madara more than Iruka? Madara has lied so many times and Narutopedia also states Hirizen's stronger. Also his hype makes you believe that he is much stronger.

in my opinion hiruzen was stronger in his prime and was portrayed as the strongest shinobi ever in part one, now in part two hashi gets portrayed as the strongest ever lived because madara showed up and said that only hashi can beat him so ..... anyways it doesn't matter much to me, either way they both were and still are on top and both were great hokage's.
