well...i know it might be a little late now and many of you may have known this....but again out of curiosity i want to ask. you guys noticed it....That Obito eye was active all the time...

So it was after all the Hashirama cell or to be more specific senju DNA that made it active all the time....The same goes with Edo Madara as well.....

So what i want to ask is that...Since Madara's eyes turned into rinnegan during the fight with Naruto and Gaara....Why did the eyes of Nagato did not turn back into sharingan when he was not using it? Any guess?

So what you mean is that only Uchiha can turn their normal eye into sharingan then to rinnegan and the reverse. ...I think that is a possible reason.

What i mean is that implanted sharingans can't be reversed....this concept has been around since chapter 10 of the manga....how are you JUST realizing?!?

well it the eyes belong to madara.. so he can switch whenever he wants.. but nagato was an uzumaki that got his eyes implanted.. so it stays on rinnegan only..

I'll try to make it clear.

Your eyes base mode is the version you're implanted with. If you get a set of Rinnegan as implants, you can't go back.
But, if you get a Sharingan and upgrade it to MS yourself, you can switch between the two at will.

Think of Kakashi, his left eyes base is still a Sharingan but he can switch between the normal Sharingan and MS because he activated MS himself.

Nagato was directly implanted with the Rinnegan. Madara somehow unlocked the Rinnegan following the path of Sharingan -> MS -> EMS -> Rinnegan. We can be sure of this due to the following manga pages.

The difference is that while Nagato was implanted with the Rinnegan, Madara unlocked it, he was the original master of said eyes.

That's the reason he could switch between them at will.
