wayne started the decline. Personally this is why only a handful of intelligent people actually pursue fame..........because either you give into whatever type of sound the industry wants you to produce or they throw you back unto the street they found you. But for those who actually produce their own sound and even begin to seem a little successful at it, other producers and the media try to shut them up quick so that the majority of the people never get to hear what real music is and start to realize that there is actually more to rap about than getting money or fckin girls. but I won't lie I do sometimes enjoy listening to artists like drake rap about the money and etc. because he knows how to balance the ignorence with realness.

I disagree with this so much, you should see my itunes library, Wayne is the only person in my library I listen to for the sound. Cause Kendrick Lamar, Lupe Fiasco, EARL,KiD CuDi etc... aren't real music

I seriously think that when People hear a lot of people listen to a certain rapper, they start following them and listening to that rapper. I mean, if you like someone, stay with that person. Unless you purely think that person is good. See, a lot of people at my school like 2 Chainz, I listened to some of his songs, and I don't like it that much. I'll give it 6/10. The only reason I listen to him is because I don't wanna seem like I don't listen to Rap at all. xDD
I don't understand some of his verses at all. I don't like people who don't stay on one subject, and just jump around.

Ex. YEAH! I get biitches.
I hate snitches.
I made a hornet,
Now I'mma flick it.
I got some Stride Gum
I wanna party wit my chums

See? I don't like that kind of stuff. Stay on one subject. Wayne/2 Chainz does what I showed you earlier. Unless it sounds REAL good, I don't like it. xDD

Too bad that's all mainstream rap is now. Alot of people just go by the beat and flow. If it sounds good then they assume that rapper is the goat. It seems like no one listens to lyrics anymore.

People have the wrong complaint about wayne. When he first started getting hot there's no question for me, he was indeed the best RAPPER alive. to put out that much material without writing it down is just insane within itself. then you factor in the man's wordplay and metaphors...! What he DOES suck at is SONGWRITING. He can't make hooks or write about anything meaningful, but to say he can't RAP is just not true.
