Re: Lil Wayne
I have a question, why the **** are you guys talking about little wayne on a naruto sight this has nothing to do at all with the show at all!!! not smacking you down for the thread but you mean to tell me that you thought this was the best website for this comment. You want my opinion rap sucks big time how can you call it music, theres no instruments they spin records on a table, steal alot of music from other songs, make up words and say whatever words come to mind its nonsense, more than half the lyrics are profanity or nigga not to mention the majority of "songs" are about having sex with this chick, shootin this nigga or just plain nonsense. before anyone says im not open minded i am, ive listened to this crap and its horrible. im a fan of rock genres and country(dont get me wrong they make bad songs in those genres) but compared to rap hiphop its art.
for those who get bootytickled for people given their opinions chilax people its just my opinion which is shared by alot of people. ps no im not racist it just says the n word alot in rap thats just a fact

People who say he sucks and cant rap has never heard his stuff before 2010. He breaks records every year. He has over 1000 recorded songs and over 500 features on other artists songs ranging from Madonna to FalloutBoy to Rick Ross. Only other rapper who has more fans than him is Eminem. He skill dropped dramatically after going to jail but hes still better than most of the rappers these days. If you listen to "conscious rap" like Lupe, Kendrick Lamar, or Common then of course your not gonna like him but he does have some hidden gems . He has the best punchlines ever. "Even deaf *****es say hi to me, she tell a blind ***** and she say 'i gotta see!'" lmao genius . Most of his raps are comedic and clever if you dont just listen to the mainstream bullshit. If you've never heard Da Drought 3, Dedication 2 or Tha Carter II then you gave no right to hate on him . If you did but still say he sucks then your just a bandwagon hater.
im sorry but i disagree with ur comment i just listened to a little of his dedication 2 and he just raps about stupid shit i like to listen to rap that has meaning not about getting head. ill try to listen to a little more of his older stuff but if its just the same shit than he sucks IMO

Re: Lil Wayne
I think only people who know what they are talking and listen to him should answer this question. Props to who made this thread. Lil Wayne use to be my favorite rapper but some where along the way he got lost, he still can rap his ass off but its not the same. I think he fell to second or third best... Jay Z is in front of him IMO. But people who hate on him still need to acknoldege his accomplishments, hopefully this layoff does him some good.

lol he doesnt rap about substance as i already said. im talking about lyrical ability which he shows in Dedication 2. He's not a conscious rapper, hes a trap rapper,so i understand why you dont like him.
If you want Substance, listen to Nas.
If you want entertainment and fun, listen to Lil Wayne
If you want both, listen to Eminem. (why i love him)

Re: Lil Wayne
Kendrick Lamar and Black Hippy are the best in the game Lyrically.
Wayne occupied a point in hiphop where we were inbetween the Mink-Coat flashy G stage of gangster rap, and when lyricism was on the decline. IF you didnt try to act like a baller you didnt sell records. Look what NAS had to do.
Hiphop has totally changed now though, and stuff like 1017 BrickSquadMonopoly only sell to white kids tryna act hard, and the few trap niggas that wanna spend their $12 on Gucci Mane instead of their foodstamps for their kids. Which is fine by me since they dont know how to pirate music.
Honestly I like this new direction of hiphop, where Wayne is focusing on failing business opportunites like TRUKFIT and Bogie Blunts.
Drake is who makes Waynes money anyways.
Hiphop is alive and well. We made it out of the dark ages. But I will miss the mid 2000's songs when DJ Khaled produced those songs with like jeezy, wayne, birdman, rick ross, tpain, etc. like 100million and all the remixes n shit.
BUT real hiphop lives, death to this fake shit. and niggas like Slaughterhouse Curren$y Wale Kendrick and hopsin to an extent are all making it when 8 years ago noone but "true G's" got record deals

Here are songs you should listen to if you want to hear some meaningful shit from Lil Wayne
My Generation (One of my favorite Lil Wayne verses)
Something You Forgot (One of my favorite Wayne songs)
Hustler Musik
Georgia Bush
Misunderstood
How To Love
Mirror
Miss My Dawgs
Tie My Hands
Pray To the Lord
Cry Out
There are PLENTY of others. The majority of people that says "Lil Wayne is terrible", "He ruined hip hop", etc., don't know what there talking about. They base there opinions on his radio hits, not knowing nothing about the other stuff he puts out. But i commend you for not being completely ignorant, and actually try listening then giving your opinion.

Modern music, in general, lacks the same soul and complexity as classic rock. Taylor Swift said she wrote 'Never Getting Back Together' (or whatever it's called) in around 25 minutes. When Led Zeppelin wrote Stairway to Heaven (which alot of it was "stolen") in 2 hours, that was considered incredibly fast.
Dude, Classic hip-hop is just as good as classic rock.
Young Em
Big L
Nas
Tupac
Biggie
Wu-Tang
etc etc.
Even some New school kats such as:
Joey Badass and Pro Era
Funk Volume ( Hopsin, Dizzy Wright, SwizZz)
You should not judge all of hip-hop/rap on that commercial B.S. on the radio called "Rap", You said you listen to it rap before but have you listen to old school hip-hop cause it doesn't sound like you have to be just calling it garbage.

Kendrick Lamar and Black Hippy maybe the best lyrically , but Dizzy Wright is mos def on the best story tellers todate; maybe not #1 but mos def top 5-7.

In my opinion,.Lil Wayne is just someone you listen to when you want to bump your head a bit, not when you want meaningful rap.

Re: Lil Wayne
well lets rate Lil Wayne shall we:
1.He lacks the most basic jutsu that is the escape jutsu. He couldnt even get out jail.
2.His rap no jutsu is equivalent to 1/8 of Naruto's talk no jutsu.
3.Well he has Asumas Smoke attack. . . So he actually does learn jutsu.
4.Ive never personally seen him in a fight, so there he automatically loses points.
5. A waterball jutsu could probably kill him.
6. He never graduated the Ninja academy or even attended.
7.Finally He just cant compete against his own student Drake. The teacher has become a fodder.
