OT: I agree...they threw it as a move that stops the enemy in his or her tracks, but now it seems any of the high tier power houses negate it's power

To an extent. I mean shadow sewing can bypass the need for long-term usage of the jutsu on most opponents. I mean it should technically be able to kill in 1 go right? It impaled Hidan in several spots.

well actually with that logic than I guess we could say that no one has without the help of an outside force...I mean Tayuya and Hidan eventually broke out when Shikamaru ran out of energy, Kakuzu used his detatched arm, Kinkaku and Naruto had Kyubi enhanced chakra, and Obito had the Gedo statue attempt to ghetto stomp Shikamaru...

If u use SP then shadow strangle, shadow sowing and THEN kageyose (don't know its english name, i guess shadow summoning), it could probably restrain a target for a bit.
