Have I lost my beastiness?
It seems like I've lost a lot of fans. People used to go bananas for my FFs. I used to have 30+ fans, now I have like 3. Have my FFs plummeted like all great things do?

Re: Have I lost my beastiness?
Are you allowed to make a thread about your own popularity anyway?

Beats me. I could care less about popularity, especially on the internet. Writing is my passion, so if I am losing my skills, I've got to know.

Re: Have I lost my beastiness?
The amount of people reading what you write is irrelevant. Aslong as you love what you write, keep doing it. Some people just move on, don't see the posts, are too lazy, whatever. Sometimes, it's not your work going down, it's the people just forgetting or whatever the case may be.
VM/PM people if you want reviews, especially fellow FF writers. They will come.

Well, it probably is my fault though. I'm not as passionate about my FFs as I used to be or maybe it's just that I expect too much. My first FF was a huge hit, so I guess I anticipated the same amount of feedback for my following FFs. You're so right about people reading a FF, then leaving. I see people viewing my FFs for a good minute, then they just leave the thread without commenting.
Wow, man. Crazy good advice. *****

Aww nyan cat makes everyone happy!
On topic: If writing is your passion then who cares who reads it or not? As long as you are happy with your work than you'll be just fine. The happier you are with it the more people will probably like it. Every time I write something and someone says I don't like it or get it I just shrug it off. Just be happy with your work and the fans will come. :D

Re: Have I lost my beastiness?
At least you had popularity at some point. No one ever reads mine. Be happy you used to have people read yours.

Re: Have I lost my beastiness?
Who are you again? By the way, there isn't a section for the this thread. My advice, try to get great fans, not just more fans. Just because you have a lot doesn't mean that's better.
Sources: I have great fans for my chapters, not many, but I'd trade a thousand average fans for the few awesome ones that I have.

Re: Have I lost my beastiness?
I've never read yours, but I usually don't like them as sometimes they go in the way I'd like, but it makes me think how it won't happen or there is a chance it doesn't happen. Also because some people have terrible writing skills ! I doubt it is your skill....usually if one is consistantly writing than their skills aren't going down. More like you may not be writing about what some people are aiming for, or something of that nature!
