Nagato's paths

Hey I was just curious.. In the fight when Naruto and Bee team up to fight against Edo Nagato and Itachi, Nagato was able to use all six paths by himself in his own body. I'm curious if he could do this before he got the six bodys and placed a different path in each body? Or was he never able to use any paths before he put them in the bodys, and was he able to use just one path before after Jaraiya left? Please don't hate or negative comment I don't know the answer to this and just wondering!

He can use all the paths himself(I.E. his own body) but he chooses not to.

I think Nagato F***ed up when he used gedo-mazo fighting Hanzo... and he needed to use paths after that

and he wanted to have yahiko as the Leader around

he can use the abilities in only his body. It was due to paralysis that he seperated them

I guess he can do it with his own body but maybe he choose the paths to overwhelm opponents. Or hes a weirdo

i think that nagato chose to use multiple paths for numbers advantage

So basically he uses them in his own body but since he is paralyzed he seperates the paths into different bodies controlling them with the chakra stakes he plants into the bodies which he operates from a high place but close at the same time..

I really don't get how Tobi is able to summon Gedo mazo and use it's powers, like when Nagato did it he got really weak. Maybe it is the fact that Tobi have the power of Rikudou sennin? (Senju and uchiha) Which explains his chakra

Possibly, but on another note just wondering.. how exactly did Tobi get Senju DNA? Like when he fought Konan and used Izanagi, the only way you're able to do that is to have Senju DNA and he somehow got it?

I don't think that the Gedo had chakra when Nagato summoned it against Hanzo so it took the chakra directly from Nagato's body. Tobi is able to use it without having the stakes impale his back because the Mazou is running on the Bijuu's chakra as it is.

when he was crippled( mobility plays a big part) he couldnt move as much and would be a big target when the opponents got through his defense.
