I agree 100% but there is no point in debating with the fans:
1) They always bring up when Nagato got sealed even though that helps our side.....It took 3 men to put Nagato down...Itachi included!
2) They give half assed reasons like: He wins with his intelligence and his skills, this just shows they have no argument.

You know, I don't think Itachi could beat Nagato as Pain, but obviously he can beat Nagato himself alone.
But then again, the 6 Paths of Pain should also have been able to defeat Naruto easily, yet look who won. This manga is all about plot-no-jutsu, and Uchiha are OP so Itachi would still win.

Itachi beat a nagato who was under control of kabuto hence limiting him from his full potential if he was under control of himself as itachi was, he was revived already unable to even WALK, and as itachi was able to summon his trump card susanoo nagato didn't have his summon the gedo mazo. So to try and say itachi>nagato based on thag fight is ridiculous ...not to mention without naruto anb bee to assist itachi has no answer for chibaku tensi (probably spelled wrong lol) nagato mobility would have made a HUGE difference in this fight if based on what he was capable of when fighting kurama.
