Minato focuses intently upon breaking his opponents wrist, as this happens and he raises his foot to kick him he feels a surge of chakra throughout the broken arm, reacting quickly as the lightning chakra becomes visible around the opponents arm he cloaks himself in a fierce shield of raiton chakra taking the force from the F ranked lightning technique and nullifying it but also deactivating the shroud he then flashes back inside the inner ring of Kiri via the FTG seals he left in there before approaching.

*note* i'm unsure but i think most of the power of your F ranked punch is generated from the actual punch itself hence my belief that the lightning shroud should soak the damage and deactivate due to lack of an actual punching motion.

The power from the technique is derived through the chakra pulse sent through your body, not the punch itself. Since you were in direct contact with me, you would not have noticed the technique until it hits you and by that point your technique would be too late. Sorry bro, but I think you are dead. Nope. Not even Minato has that kind of reactions, ReXii. To activate an armor before a bolt of lightning hits you from point blank range is impossible in my opinion especially when the lightning bolt isn't visible as it's guided through his contact with SY's wrist. I suggest that you accept your defeat.

I agree with SY. If your trigger to starting your counter is feeling the chakra pulses/surges in your arm/body then you're already under its effects and as such you're already dead before you can do anything else. What you imply is that you can say "as I feel the earth dragon crushing my body I release lightning chakra and cancel it, leaving me unaffected". Once the technique is affecting you (which you so stated) you can't say you counter it and are left unnafected. As you'«d feel the pulses, you'd be already receiving damage. Its all about the description even if its not the only problem in your counter.

The Yellow Flash of the Bloody Muist falls over lifelessly as extreme pain shoots through Yamato's arm. He cringes as he looks at his mangled wrist. Yamato forms the Tiger seal with his one good hand and wood forms around hit wrist, forming a make-shift splint which supports his wrist. Yamato painfully wiggles and pinches his fingers to check and see if the nerves are still intact. With an exasperated sigh, the then forms a Chidori and commands a Lighting bolt to strike the lighthouse, which disables the lighthouse and its chakra sensing abilities for the harbor area. With his contingency mission completed, Yamato heads over to Point 17 to meet back up with his village.
