Wow. Didn't notice.. Maybe Minato was made hokage during the time of war, and he didn't officially start till after the war. Then they put his face up ahead of time.
Where is the flaw to this ^?

The shinobi in the war didnt even call him hokage (when he arrived at the battlefield to do his flash thing).

Ok when Kakashi was all of the sudden nominated for Hokage didn't they already start to sculpt his face onto the rock? So It wouldn't be so far fetched as to say that Minato was most likely nominated as Hokage during that time and the sculptors just went ahead of time and slapped Minato's face up there. That's my reasoning anyways.
