Wow, and the story gets stranger, and yet makes slightly more sense.

Kishi must have been planning this since the first time we see Kakashi use MS and offers no explaination as to how he got it when at the time we were all told it took the death/killing a close person to you. I agree with redcloud that he probably didn't realize he could use MS for a while, kinda like how Sasuke got his 2T sharingan the night Itachi killed the clan but didnt know it.

Now i'm wondering why Obito didn't kill Kakashi while he's passed out on the ground in front of him. Or why he didn't take them back to the leaf. I bet the spiral zetsu body probably wouldn't go along with that anyways.

Very curious as to why zetsu says "Now I see why Madara chose you"

Also very curious why them Mist Ninja want her body. If she was the 3 tails jinchuriki then the beast would have died with her and her body would have no value to them.

I, for one, am glad Kishi is sticking to his guns and getting the full story out to us before switching to Sasuke/Kage/Madara/Etc

he is naruto... descendant of strong ninja who learns slowly... huge heart and kind of stupid with girls... extemely positive and with the greatest goal of hokage... in love with the cute female teammate who loves his other cool genius badass teammate... i am sure that when he speaks with naruto (thing that in this manga randonmly happens in the middle of a fight as if it was a starbucks meeting manga) things will be very interesting... i even think possible naruto can convince tobi from moon´s eye plan.....................It is also curious and ironic xD sasuke almost killed sakura with a chidori... just as kakashi killed Rin

I gave this chapter a 4/5 mostly because there was too much grunting and "waaoohh's" from Obito for my liking in one chapter.

However, still curious about Rin, and I did enjoy how the MS was awakened.

the MS was awaken by Kakashi not obito becoz kakashi kill his best friends... but he collaspe maybe becoz of the MS awaken consume huge chakra .. but i think it was because he been fighting with a lot of mist ninja.. hem..

cant wait to read next chapter... to see how kishi is covering the story... what will obito do with rin and most importantly with kakashi... the one who killed his love...

I hope I'm not just missing something obvious, but what did Obito mean by "This place.." "Where am I?"
and just to confirm, the "wooahs!" was just Spiral Zetsu being stupid right?

also, again, hope I dont just sound like I'm missing the obvious, but was the whole scene at night? Obviously the end was with the moon, but it didnt appear so before did it?

I loved this chapter. I think that Rin is probably a descendant of Hashirama or something and that's why the Mist wanted her body so bad. or She could have been part of the uzumaki clan and had the potential to control a tailed beast. Though I loved the way Obito owned in this chapter. I think the only reason his powers were so well developed was because of the zetsues help. I'm starting to become very wary of the zetsus.....

1)was that at the last page Obito using genjutsu similar to tsukuyomi or is it a mokuton-type jutsu?
-because the effect pretty much the same..blood running from one eyes.
2)Obito resembles the 10 tailed bijuu
-because the bijuu had only one eye and it eye resemble both sharingan and rinnengan which Obito obtain it later on in the manga.
3)this things somehow correlated with one another and i think the trump card of kishi.
-moon..zetsu..the quote "it is to become complete"..

MS awakened by obito 100% , thats why kishi showed us the connection between eyes, as obito saw through his other eye that kakashi had .
i am sure now, none uchiha cant awaken the Mangekyu .

about the blood on the MS eyes... hem, at first i was also think the same .. but i surely that it was the blood from all the mist ninja its killed.. the blood splash to the face.. and the face was cover by the spiral zetsu except the eyes.. thats why the blood is likely when itachi using amaterasu...

What if Rin didn't know that she has a Kekkei Genkai or whatsoever the enemy wanted from her? So that's why she was all
surprised because Kakashi killed her?
Oh and tbh, I don't think she's a Jinchuuriki.. everyone would hate her, not being friends with her and it's very hard to control
the beast inside.. as far as I unterstood there were just few people who mastered to beat the hatred coming up inside you

1. When obito was planning to leave after hearing rin and kakashi was in danger, madara kinda knew what was going to gappen from his statement " u will come back & thank me sinceerely( like he was foreseen wat was going to happen)
2. Where was minato wen all dis wat happening? Even if he was on a mission, he gave kakashi his kunai so dat kakashi will use it whenever he is in danger but he didn't. To me all dis I a plot by madare

This one gives nothing really. Perhaps kishi just wanted to show how fast a fast learner obito can be.
In a way, he's just like naruto. Awakening skills, because of emotions.

Kakashi is not an uchiha, and he doesn't have enough chakra back then to use it. He might even probably die, just by activating it. Think about it. He wasn't prepared at that time for that MS to be awakened.

Obito jumped from 2 tamoe to MS. I guess, seeing his love one die and the fact that his "best" friend was the one who killed her gave him two LVL ups right away. Cool.

But like I said, this chapter doesn't give us much, so i give a 2/5.

My response to this thread are as follow:

Wite zetsu already knew what was happening. He was monitoring kakashi and rin. It was probably on order of madara. There is a very big chance it was all a plot of madara to set up obito and to make him gain MS.
Obito gaining MS is a huge advantage for madara too who uses him.

This chapter showed why Kakashi didn't use ms in naruto series, only in shippuuden series. It consume too much chakra. That's why he fainted. Great chapter.
