for all people that are asking why kakashi didnt use kamui earlier :

i think MS is a Body part for an uchiha and they can easily use it's abilities from the start ,
but for non-uchiha , it is a tool that they have to train , reasearch to obtain a jutsu and as we see in kakashi's case , an incomplete kamui after this many years , his kamui is nothing compared to obito's .
the first time we saw him using it, was on deidara and he said to naruto he will use a jutsu that he developed recently( i think it was the sentence ) .

there you go why he didnt use MS till then, he couldnt.

kakashi probably didnt know he awakened it and obito prob took ins body so kakashi doesnt know wht happened and he prob tryed copying itachi uchiha but realise he had his own version of ms and omg imma be so pissed if it was in fact obito who took on minato

No, it's obviously not. You can still see trees and the moon; Kamui's dimension is completely made of cubes.

That was a damn stick from beneath his bed. The mokuton comes from the Zetsu attached on him, the spiral one.

Wrong. The SFX note says Grows; meaning that he actually grew that stick from his body. Zetsu also comments on him being the one using Mokuton. The Mokuton does not come from Zetsu; I guess Zetsu's body simply increases its power quite a lot.

Anyway, this truly was a great chapter. Of course, there are people explaining, just like always. I liked the way Kishimoto showed us mostly fighting, or rather slaughtering in this chapter. The excessive cruelty and Obito's clear thoughts during his wild, simulataneous screams perfectly underlined how much he actually was in a frantic, trance-like bloodrush. It strongly reminded of Nagato's bloodrush-state that occured when Yahiko died; I think he even screamed the same, painful way. Most of all, it was necessary for delivering Obito's emotions of rage; Kishimoto did a great job, here.

Now for the things I noticed and the questions that raised up; there are quite a lot.

- Obito wasn't just growing branches from bis body, but also Chakra rods; the ones that Nagato and the Gedo Mazo were able to grow or 'produce'. I'm convinced that there's a greater meaning behind it, which is also connected to the relation between Senju, Uchiha and the Rinnegan. Nagato, or rather Pain, had the Rinnegan, which many people assume to occur when Uchiha and Senju or rather Uzumaki genes are mixed. Since Obito doesn't have Uzumaki genes and Nagato on the other hand doesn't have actual Senju genes, but both used those rods, it can be assumed that Uzumaki & Senju genes are similar. If that was true, it'd be proof for the Mazo being made of Mokuton/Hashirama's genes; since it has a combination of Sharingan and Rinnegan hidden under the blindfold, it would meet the requirements to create the rods in that case.

- Once more, the title of Anbu was disgraced. Back in the old parts, Jounin and especially Anbu were displayed to have a certain level of intelligence and calmity; these days, however, they seem to be ordinary idiots wielding a sword and screaming not to underestimate their village. They rushed into Obito without any actual strategy and could not grasp the idea of him being intangible before seeing it thrice. Of course, that can be creditet to the very fact that Obito was alone and they were underestimating him; but those are mistakes Anbu shouldn't do, they're supposed to be absoulute elite. Of course, before a union of Mokuton and Kamui even Anbu don't stand much chances; I just wish they had given him some more on-screen resistance. Seemingly they did off-screen, otherwise the fight wouldn't have lasted until it was dark.

- They were interested in Rin's body; that's most likely the reason Kakashi killed her, to stop them from taking whatever was inside Rins body. But if it was about mere genes like Senju or Uzumaki, it actually shouldn't matter if the person's alive or dead. Furthermore, Rin seemed surprised; maybe that very something was something even she was unaware of.

- Obito. He awakened his Mangekyou Sharingan without actually killing Rin. Was it due to the traumatical effect of watching it, or because Kakashi awoke it and their eyes are connected? The latter seems more likely, seeing how they transformed simultaneously. Also, why couldn't Kakashi use his Mangekyou Sharingan for all that time? Maybe he really didn't notice it and had to watch Itachi activating his in order to uncover it.. but that just seems so unlikely.

So, that's it for now. Again, this was a great chapter. Obito now sees that this very reality is hell itself; just what Madara wanted. What happens next isn't hard to predict. However, I still think that even this very situation is not enough for Obtio to undergo such a drastical change of heart. Most likely Madara will talk into him now; I'm in general interested in what influence Madara really had on that incident.

I just hope kakashi won't spit out sth like: at times intel can be more powerful than weapons so I had to kill rin. Much more plausible thing would be whether Rin was a traitor or she had some kekkei genkai that danzo didn't want her to fall in enemy's hand. So danzo tricked them to go on a mission without minato knowing then they were cornered by konoha's root anbu and kakashi is forced to kill rin because of danzo who has already had shisui's eye.

Good point , they don't act like skilled anbu.Maybe they are not...

obito awakened the ms cause of kakashi killing rin and u guys are right he fainted cause he couldnt handle the strain on his body. kakashi didnt use ms because he never knew he had it until later with deidara. and rin had something important so that all those anbu ninjas came after her. the reason now is what was it and why kakashi killed her. i give 4/5

Kakashi is a very skilled shinobi, why would it take him so long to realise he has MS???????

Obito's right half was made from Senju DNA to keep him alive. His "Zetzu Shell" was also made of Senju DNA. Maby that was using Obito's Sharingan to perform those wood techniques

that's what I'm wondering..
but it's just a plot hole, just like:

why didn't he get kakashi's eye, before attacking Konoha
or anytime for that matter..
what, did he think it would be unfair to the others it he had susanoo, and the long range kamui???
just teleport near kakashi (anytime in all the years) suck him into the dimention, leave him for a week or two, and let him die of thirst..

and for that matter if he wanted naruto na bee so bad, whe could've done the same, teleport near one of them, without the akatsuki cloak, just suck them in, and let them stay there just until they are near death and take the bijuu..


IT's all plot holes, that are needed for the manga to exist..

Just a theory, beginning at page 14 and maybe even throughout the whole MS activation(Pg.5), could it be possible that somehow the Gedo take's over Obito's conciousness?

I mean right after he gets MS Gedo like branches sprout from the half of his body, what is cause the zetsu half of his body to do that? And on pg. 15 in black text, I believe that's Obito coming back to his conciousness. He/Gedo then spawns one more super death tree, which looks like a kamui swirl with the moon in the middle (pretty neat), then snaps out of it to see the most gruesome thing I have seen in the series, losing hope in the reality of this world calling it hell. "The Moon('s Eye) Sheds Tears...."
EDIT: Also, he is making Gedo like howling/roaring noise.

And can the amount of bloodshed from Obito's eye signify how much emotional pain he was in? He might also be actually crying out of his other eye also.

I enjoyed this chapter, liking Obito's progession more and more each chapter. I had my doubts.

For people saying that Obitos eye was bleeding, its pretty clear that while obito was wearing zetsu, he slashed tons of people and got blood all over his face but all that was exposed was one eye whole; ergo super bloody eye. Also now we know that the mist village was the bloody mist long before Obito became tobi.

Whatever the reasons, I just HATE Kakashi for killing Rin. Poor Obito! He was such nice kid trusting and all! Look what Kakashi did! He is the same with his students. Why people ask themselves why we didn't see Kakashi use Kamui before shippuden?I dont find that interesting.
An awfull lot of things can answer that , those answers will reveal nothing else , not interesting.
