[Discussion] Did Obito just grow chakra rods?

Right here and on the next pages. I'm sure some people noticed this but does that mean you only need senju and uchiha powers intead of the rinnegan? If you really need only both powers, why couldn't Danzo do that? What do you think?

early in the chapter you can see black rods too and the mokuton. I don't see it later when he is on the killing spree though.

How would Obito be able to use black zetsu? Honestly I don't think black zetsu uses moktun but something else to be revealed later.

really does look like rods, but u need to consider the fact that spiral zetsu just disconnected himself from gedo which chakra rods come from gedo in the first place. soooo ya could be it

I noticed this too, there's a definite visual difference from the Mokuton branches and they do look remarkably like the chakra rods used by old Tobi (haha, "I'd give anything for a whiff of Old Toby") and Nagato. Maybe the chakra rods are what happen when you add Uchiha chakra in to the mokuton mix?

I was wondering about that too. Not sure what's up with the black ones. Maybe Madara linked Obito to the gedo while he was out? He wouldn't be the first person we've seen sprout them while rampaging.

Those black things looking like chakra rods maybe a clue that uchiha , senju and gedo mazo are linked.

At the moment those black things grew , Obito's vocabulary became exactly the same as gedo mazo's : Gwoooooooooooooooooooooh.

the only zetsu that has been shown to use mokuton is black zetsu ... so i dont know what youre talking about.

Weird that he hasn't used mokuton like that in the Naruto timeline. Maybe he needs to be in Zetsu mode to use it. I guess he will reveal his true potential after the flashback A weird Zetsu fusion for his final fight would be cool. Maybe he'll merge with White/Black Zetsu like he did in the latest chap with Tobi Zetsu and gain a great chakra boost to justify a final power boost.

I don't get what either of you are seeing in that page. There are no chairs rods or Moulton that obito used. He fell of the bed and was shown in pain. What are you people seeing.

The things used for stiching his back together look like black rods.

I wondered too. I dont know if this is related but when he fought Konan after using Izanagi he stabbed her with what looked like a chakra rod. Maybe the same thing or just something random.

In the latest chap it looks like the black rods came through his back too. Regular stitches are not that wide. It certainly looks like rods
