Those Black Poles in Obito.
So, apparently during the new chapter this week there were a lot of questions to be answered. And if you want to make a thread on some of those, be my guest. But what caught my attention was that when Obito had completely lost control and had activated his MS, he developed zetsu spikes and Black poles.

now i believe that we've seen these before in the nagato vs hanzo fight when he summoned the gedo mazo.

we also saw them in the killerbee vs tobi fight.

What I'm thinking is that, they are some type of rinnengan summoning because nagato, and rinnegan tobi were able to use these stakes. When I saw them in obito, during the new chapter, It almost looked as if obito was pausing to realize what he was doing was wrong during the manslaughter. It almost looked like he was being controlled, by madara, because he faded out at the end and didn't realize where he was. He also suddenly gained the ability to use wood style to a higher level. before he left the cave, he couldn't even break the rock in front of him. what do you think of my first theory?

What I learned from this manga was to not make assumptions anymore lol. I think we are always looking to much into it because we want the manga to go our way. I think it was just a darkened branch. Not saying your wrong though.

Its a okay theory, but I think the "black rods" are just darken branches.... :3

Hmmmmm!! Those black spikes actually look like the ones from the back of Nagato! Interesting...

maybe. but can you prove it. I like to believe what I see.
edit: he has kamui, why would black spikes be stuck inside him if the ninja threw them at him? wouldn't they pass through him? I don't know too much about how the black spikes work, but they look as if they are passing from the inside of him because I see no blood.

I guess he let those hit him because thats the exact moment he went berserk. After that he slipped through the shuriken thrown at him. Why would there be blood when the blades didnt exit yet? It just entered his body. If i stabbed you with a knife ,the blood would only gush out when i took the knife back out orr if the knife pierced through the other side which would spurt out blood.
Why would Gedo Mazu's black rods erupt from his body when he doesnt have Rinnegan?

Re: Those Black Poles in Obito.
Read. the chapter again. Comparing the blades to the black spikes. they aren't the same length, and the blades wouldn't be entirely black. So far the "blades" look as if they only enter through one side, and they don't exit.
