How to Dotted Borders?

I'm using GIMP and I'd like to know how to make dotted borders to sigs and avatars just like it's done in Photoshop :shrug:

watch a tutorial.....it requires the use of patterns tho but its to much to explain in one post

Take out the picture then make a new layer.

1. Select>All
2. Select>Border>2px
3. Fill it with WHITE
4. Select>All
5. Choose a color for the dots
6. Edit>Stroke Selection>Line Width: 2px
7. Line Style>Dense Dots ( You can actually do whatever style you want, but I prefer dense dots. ;D )
8. Click Stroke
9. Repeat that 4-5 times ( So just do Edit>Stroke Selection>Click Stroke, 4-5 times )
10. Select>None

Done~
