I use and like script style more, but that is just my taste
Those two styles of writing are very different, and book style seems to be more popular, which is understanding

I would have written it something like this though:

Zane: I think we should go over there...

He clearly points in the direction of the dark woods; staring at Brailen at the same time. They both look at each other in several seconds with the wind circling around them.

Brailen: I guess we should...

The idea seems wrong to Brailen, but he doesn't protest. They both take up their guns and starts walking toward their now planned destination; hoping to find the missing dogs on this dark night.


I don't know if I combine both styles, or if it's still just script style :ghehe: But as I said, I like script style better

Nope, that's still script style. I know it seems like it's just fine since the description is still there, but they're two entirely different things, and it mostly has to do with how it flows. Script style is great, for a script, but when people only have text it's so much easier to read in the traditional book style. If it was an anime, then it wouldn't matter, and you'd only need to write the dialogue anyway. You should try it, seriously, it can't hurt anything and you'll quickly learn to like it, I promise. ^_^

Well, my OF is meant for anime, not some type of book, so I have no problem writing it as a script.
Don't get me wrong... book style is a good writing style, maybe the best, but I feel more comfortable writing script style

Yeah, I'll probably take a flight to Japan when I'm like 20-21 (I'm 17 now), then I'm going to show my work to some people who works with anime and stuff :3 I know it's a small chance that it'll be an anime one day, but I want to try at least ^_^
