The obito in the present is not alive he a part of mazou.

Madara says when you feel pain you know you are alive
He does not feel pain (against rasengans from minato and naruto)

When he was alive He was synced to gedo mazou, a part of demonic path and juubi.
When activating MS he partcially synced to juubi, thats where all the woooooooh comes from.

So in conclusion, the obito naruto is fighting is not the same obito before unlocking MS for he linked a bit to mazou or likewise it is the same obito just linked to the mazou later

Oops i forgot to also say naruto joked about tobi being in pain when mazou was knocked down and tobi was like what do you mean, of course naruto being im imagining it

wrong he does feel pain the only thing is that he doesn't run out of chakra, and also the only parts of him that we have ever seen wounded all had zetsu's gloo.

being linked to the gedo mazo is a good point. I forgot about that. but disagree with the theory because why else would he take the time to stop and enter flash back mode, if he really didn't feel pain? It does sound like the gedo and obito were linked at the time though.

I know the alive obito does feel pain and is alive somewhere, but for now the present obito its as if obito is a shell of no pain, thanks to mazou.

I think obito now in present is kinda being "desynced" to mazou because narutos rasengan peeled off the clothes and skin but not his arm, his face being uncovered too allowing him to not be completely wrapped in mazou stuff and going back to where his aliveness is

Explain the part when he got 'amatarasu-ed' by Sasuke during their confrontation then or his mental state at the moment. Clearly he experienced pain from seeing Rin die that resulted in him becoming a 'monster' like this and going against his comrade; Kakashi as shown in the latest manga chapter.

Yea the amatarasu woulda killed tobi but luckily tobi had izanagi

Also if you notice the roots are loose on obito at first, a sign of him being only obito, once he syncs abit to zetsu aka mazou, he is linked to juubi a bit.

After the blood pool when he says him in hell, the roots are loose again, a sign of obito realizing he doesent need the mazous help to understand where he is

Obito did sync with the Gedo hence it screaming "Wooooooooh!".
But I'm pretty sure Obito feels pain. I don't understand why he wouldn't unless his whole body was hashi cells, and its not obviously.
