[Discussion] Is madara truly the evil one?

the question here is, Is Madara Uchiha truly evil?
If you take in consideration of everythings hes done It seems so but look closer.

First his brother whom he had promised to protect with his life died willing for his brother. ( I believe this due to recent chapters) (he also already lost 3 brothers when he was younger)

His reason for betraying konoha was because he felt that the Uchiha were being overruled by the senju (completely true)
After finally deciding to betray konoha The entire uchiha clan betrayed him and sided with the senju.

years After that they decided to plan a coup d'tat which caused them to be wiped out entirely by there soul and prodigy Itachi uchiha with the assistance of obito uchiha (whom only did it to help madara get his revenge for them betraying him)

He "died" at the hands of his best friend hashirama senju whom of which he has been sorta of in a gai - kakashi relationship with.

Then he gave is eyes to a young child (nagato) so that he could be later revived (via rinne tensei) by nagato.

Not to mention that he had obito form the akatuski with nagato to gather all the bijuu and revive the juubi.

Then he was to be revived by nagato and become the jinchuriki for the juubi and cast Infinite tsukuyomi on the moon casting a genjutsu on the entire world.

but in reality the moons eye plan isn't evil in its self look what zetsu says right here:

so Basically Madara's Not evil he just wants everyone to be happy.

He sliced Tsunade in half, killed 6 of the bijuu and plotted to have Naruto's Mom and Dad killed and that isn't evil? Doesn't matter why he's doing. Murdering for anything is not good

People keep saying Madara is not evil and he wants the world to be at peace right.........so if he is dead shouldn't he be at peace in the afterlife where he would be with his brother's and family don't have to worry about fighting are losing anyone he love....he should be happy so why dose he care what is going on in the real world. why dose he have to cause so many people to suffer because of his self need to be the most powerful why couldn't he just settle with being second best in his time.......Next point i am sure there are many other people who have lost a lot of friends and family and you don't see them going crazy like him....He is just overpower, self and down right full of himself......

Good and bad is a matter of opinion. Madara and Obito believes that no matter what anyone tries to do the world would still be at war. They believe that if everyone were under a genjutsu of theirs then there would be no fights, no wars because Madara wouldn't let it.

Nagato believed that the only way the world could be at peace is through pain. Which is kinda true. When a tragedy happens it brings people closer together for a while. WW2 it brought the greatest scientific discoveries and Unfied the world for a common enemy.

Unwillingly doing so Obito is creating peace. Through fighting with the whole world he's erasing the Hatrid from all the villages. It's hard to hate someone when you've been fighting in the trenches together. The world can't go back to what it was after this. A new ninja system will be created after this war.

yes Madara's plan and reason does seem justifiable and good, however it is exactly against the wish and hope of the Sage of Six Paths.

And no, I don't think he is purely evil and whoever believes that this giant flashback that we are getting is just for entertainment, is wrong. I stopped believing he was evil when the hokage started talking about him going insane over losing his brother and when I saw his face in his battle against Hashi after 'their brothers' were mentioned. Then things went on and on, that cannot be for nothing. Kishi's intention most likely is redeeming the Uchiha, once and for all.

I thought he played a part in the destruction of Kohona as one of the steps of resurrecting Madara, I'm not sure. I never stated he wasn't good I just simply said killing to achieve your goals isn't good. And he is a anti-hero in every literally sense of it's wording
