Taijutsu master vs Ninjutsu specialist
Which one do you think is better ?
1- Taijutsu
Pros : great speed and reflexes, high damage capabilities, endurance.
Cons : limited to close combat.
2- Ninjutsu
Pros : versatility -> long, mid and close range, elemental attacks and various jutsu to suit most situation.
Cons : limited by your chakra reserve, mid to low stamina because of lack of physical training.
Feel free to mention other pros and cons

Re: Taijutsu master vs Ninjutsu specialist
The debate hinges on the taijustu user and the person using the ninjustu and the actual ninjustu they are using. There is no way to discern the debate if there is not a subject.(example)kisames ultimate ninjustu does not work on gai's afternoon tiger

Re: Taijutsu master vs Ninjutsu specialist
I'm just wondering which one you'd train in if you had a choice. Might Guy style or Kakashi style ?

Re: Taijutsu master vs Ninjutsu specialist
People like ninjutsu because it's totally cool. But what's the point of Water dragon or great fireball if you can't hit the opponent because he's too fast ? And you are greatly hindered by the chakra cost.
Then again a taijutsu user stand little chance against opponents like Deidara or the Gaara. Keep your distance and you should be fine.

Re: Taijutsu master vs Ninjutsu specialist
Depends on the degree really, some Taijutsu blurs the boundary between Ninjutsu and physical combat.
Excluding Bloodlines, Ninjutsu does have a very broad range of attacks that Taijutsu simply can't produce. But then again, we see relatively few Tai specialists compared to Ninjutsu. Raikage, Trunaide and Gai are pretty much the outstanding, standard ninja to uphold Taijutsu.
When you begin to include Bloodline jutsu however, the scale turns quite heavily to favour ninjutsu, though that being said it can't really be classified that way as the majority of what a bloodline does is supernatural occurances, rather then basic techiques.

Re: Taijutsu master vs Ninjutsu specialist
I get your point but kekkei genkai are basically natural occurences, they do not have supernatural origines : it's all in the genes ( mokuton ) and body constitution ( chakra types, jinton ). Ninjutsu beats Taijutsu due to a broader range and types of attack but in close combat taijutsu wins

Re: Taijutsu master vs Ninjutsu specialist
The strongest Ninjutsu user will crush the best Taijutsu user. However, an elite taijutsu user can make short work of most middling ninja's I believe. For example; Pain deva path would destroy Might Gai.
